I'm thinking 30-21 Bears.

The more hospitable weather and more stable field conditions in Miami will bring Devin Hester's skills to the forefront, and I see a punt or kickoff return for a score there. I also see a better passing game for both teams and at least one long scoring strike from Grossman to either Muhammad or Bradley (if he's back healthy). Otherwise the Chicago tight ends and backs will carry the receiving load.

Look for Manning to rack up 300 yds. passing but throw 2 picks, maybe one for a score. Freeney and company will pressure Grossman all day, and will likely light him up for a fumble and/or pick of their own, but in the end Chicago's ground game will eat up the clock on the Colt's chances.

Can Peyton win the big game. He has proven himself thus far this post season, but with one more test left is he up to it? I think that Grossman can play mistake free football and the Bears D can force enough turnovers to keep Peyton and Marvin off the field. Bears in a low scoring affair 17-14 (Karma comes back to bite Vinatieri in the rear!!).

This is a tough one. My head says to go for the Bears. I live in Illinois and my father-in-law is a diehard Packers fan.

My heart says go with the Colts. Manning and I are both alumni of America's Leading University for Football and Academics(tm). The Bears are lead by Rex Grossman, who is a Gator and I could not possibly root for a Gator, chief among them Alex "I sack Casey Clausen five times in one game back in '99 and look at my NFL career" Brown.

Then again, the Colts did leave Baltimore in the middle of the night. This was the only time I have ever seen my father cry. Manning did lose four straight to Florida while at A.L.U.F.A(tm). Fulmer did like him best. It took Tee Martin, with essentially the same team that Manning lead to slaughter versus Nebraska in the '98 Orange Bow, to win the '99 Fiesta Bowl (where you at FSU fans?).

Given that evidence: Go Bears! It will be close and could be decided by a Devon Hester punt/kick off return. In Robbie Gould we trust!

I think the Colts take this one. Rex Grossman is not to be trusted, and I don't think Peyton will play anything short of brilliant, given the personal pressure he's putting on himself for this one. The Bears D will keep them in the game, but at the end of the day I don't think they'll have enough points on the board to pull it off.

Even though the Bears will only score one offensive touchdown (C. Bensen 6 yard run in the 3rd quarter) they will still win 29-24 after scoring on a D. Hester punt return, kicking two field goals, returning either a fumble or interception for a TD, and adding a safety. And yes, P. Manning will throw for over 300 yards.

At one point late in the season, Grossman led the league in games with QB rating 100 or above (tied for first) and for games with QB rating below 40. That was before he put up a 0.0 in the season finale.

But he doesn't have to be good for Da Bears to win; he just needs to not be awful.

I'm going with the Colts. Their defense has stepped up a little bit -better than some of the awful games they had down the stretch. Their offense is superior, and I think that now that Peyton has actually GOTTEN to the Super Bowl he will be more relaxed than he has been in previous playoff appearances. His TD to INT ratio in the playoffs this year is not good, but I think this will be a good game for him.
The Bears have a couple of key injuries on defense, but are always strong nonetheless. Great WR's and Jones has come up big - Grossman is the big question mark, and I think he will make a couple of fatal errors.
Lastly, the AFC has dominated the NFC this year.

By the way, when you score a touchdown that doesn't even put you in the lead - it's not a good idea to taunt the heart of the other team's defense and then do a flip into the end zone. I was happy for the TD, but groaned at the antics at the end of the play. For those that might not have noticed - the game scoring from that point on? Chicago - 23 New Orleans - 0. Bad idea Reggie.

I think the Colts are going to win by a lot more than people might expect, something akin to all those blowouts we used to see in the '90s.

1. I don't think Hester will be a factor. How many return TDs have there ever been in the Super Bowl? I can think of Desmond Howard's. Oh, and the Skins in '72 off the famous Garo Yeppremian "pass". With two weeks to prepare, Dungy will have the special teams ready and I doubt they will even kick it his way at all.

2. If the Colts go up by a couple of scores early, the Bears will have to abandon the run and put the game on Rex's shoulders. Rex is no Trent Dilfer.

3. The Bears, for all the hype of their D, look suspect to me on that side of the ball. Brees threw for over 300 yards on them in the snow and that was without any balance in the play calling. Imagine what Manning will be capable of on a 70 degree night with a nice mix of run and pass. Urlacher will not be able to drop back in coverage because of Addai and that will leave the middle wide open. Manning showed how good he is at fitting the ball in over the middle against the Pats.

4. Turnovers. Again, the Bears are touted as having a nose for the ball and looked great in forcing 3 turnovers against the Saints. What no one is mentioning is that the Bears had a turnover differential of +8 in the regular season and the Colts' was +7. Considering that, who do you think is more likely to be tossing picks?

Brees threw for alot of yards last week in garbage time when the Bears had a huge lead.

The Bears D is legit. However, they don't blitz alot and if you give Peyton time in the pocket, he is pretty good at find an open guy. I think it will be closer then expected - Bears in a close one.

The Bears in a close one. I'm thinking Vinateri misses a last second field goal to give the bears the win 29-27. I don't really care who wins this game, just hope its a good game. The only reason I would want the Colts to win would be to put an end to all the "Manning can't win the big one" talk.
