For those of you born at least one generation ago, there is a website where you can listen to recordings of live concerts from Bill Graham's Productions. It is wolfgangsvault.com and there is some amazing stuff there.

can we make this a weekly topic in the cooler??? I mean i probaly spend about 50- 100 dollars a month in music because I love it and I travel, so its nice (insert Borat accent here) to have some other opinions besides the 14-15 year olds on Itunes - were every cd is the greatest ever.....
Any music reviews, new releases, new bands....we just make it a new weekly post....it would save me about 3 hours of work from going through itunes listing to everything new, and then trying to look at my small local shop for some new indie music....
Any takers on this suggestion...i bet alot of people could benefit from this...

Upon viewing Paul Rabil in person, this is the quote of the century. (stolen from a different message board .

Butch Walker. Previous lead singer of Marvelous 3 (hit single: Freak of the Week).
Indie + 80's Rock + Late 90's Alt Rock = Butch Walker.

Wow, that NEEDED to be said. How about some non-Emo music suggestions?

Matt Skiba from Alkaline Trio has a side-project called the Heavens. Kinda like Killers-esque beats meets, well Alkaline Trio I suppose. Anyways, worth a listen if you're a fan of the Chicago music scene or A3.
Check out the Falcon if you want some straight-up fun punk rock. No deep meaning in the songs or anything, but fun, catchy music. Band includes members from Rise Against, Alkaline Trio (Dan Andriano) and the Lawrence Arms.
For indie rock, gotta go old-school and go to Hey Mercedes and Jets to Brazil. Good stuff.

Angels and Airwaves is just horrible. Tom is also the main reason why Blink 182 is no longer a band.
I agree with everyone saying all Angels & Airwaves songs sound the same. +44 is a lot better. I don't necessarily think A&A sucks, but it's no Boxcar Racer.

i've been listening to The Go! Team for a while now. very different. their best song, 'huddle formation', just popped up on a honda civic commercial. it's probably the catchiest song you will ever hear.
im just impatiently awaiting the new Bloc Party right now...

If you want a preview, the leak has been floating around the usual file-sharing sites for a bit now. It's good; I'm definitely buying it the day it comes out.

A Perfect Circle - Judith
Marilyn Manson - Fight Song
Godsmack - Alive
Mudvayne - Dig
Roots - Don't Say Nuthin
Project Pat - We Gonna Rumble
Rammstein - Mein Herz Brent
Slipknot - Wait and Bleed
Godsmack - Bad Religion
Staind - Mudshovel
Godsmack - Bad Magick
...to name a few. Although I must admit, the Project Pat song is more of a group-of-guys-sing-along-in-the-car pregame type song since the words are pretty funny.
Krunk.

A Band i really love it BOY SETS FIRE. they are amazing and great to listen to on the way to a game. check out their album AFTER THE EULOGY.
Also will agree with everyone on A&A. they are terrible. I wish they would have come out with a second Boxcar album. i loved that one.
If anyone is into any underground hip-hop I suggest Atmosphere and Tech N9ne. also Flipsyde is good but still no quite in the mainstream. Also the lead singer of Linkin Park has a side project called FORT MINOR. give them a listen they are worth it. Also Gym Class Heroes are getting a lot bigger and their new album AS CRUEL AS SCHOOL CHILDREN is a great listen.
And if anyone out there knows who really made the song lips of an angel please let me know. I know the country singer Jack Ingram has a version as does Hinder. i just want to know who wrote it first.
just some music suggestions that i like. I could go on forever as i am addicted to music, i think i have 9000 songs on my computer. I guess what i am getting at is, lets keep this going and keep the suggestions going, i know i love new music
