BIG Games

Everyone, what remaining games would you consider to be the BIG games of the season for teams in the LSA? Doesn't have to be "the" big game, but you get what I'm saying. Predictions?

Big Games

Postby SnakeC0bra on Wed Mar 02, 2005 10:54 pm

The North Division A has many important games ahead that will determine playoff contenders. UNT has 3 big games ahead: Baylor (Apr. 2) Texas Tech (Apr. 10) and SMU (Apr. 16). Those are our last games of the season and hopefully a good warm up for the playoffs. I'd say UNT v. SMU is our big game, it will be good.

The UT vs Tech game has a lot of weight behind deciding who get the #1 spot in the North... If Tech can win I think they are pretty much a lock in the North. I am curious to see how all this plays out though.

I am gonna chime in on behalf of SFA. Our biggest game is coming up. April 2 vs UTA. They have traditionally been our rival. Should be a better showing by us this year as opposed to last. And we get them at home for the first time ever. Looking forward to the matchup. Also, the end of the season brings UH to Nac. We look to show that Div B teams can hang with the big dogs in Div A.

1st Place in the North

If UT beats Tech and SMU beats UNT, there will be a 3-way tie for first place. How will it be determined who gets the #1 seed?

if UNT wins out, going 4-1 for the season, we will have the #1 spot... and the same is true for other teams. The final games of the season will determine the top seats in the division.

For a three-way tie, seeding is determined by a potato-sack race.

Just kidding I have no f'in clue what happens. Penalty minutes maybe?

I bet an email to our conference commissioner would clear up the tie breakers.

I think that goal differential for those games in conference should be able to clear up the mess.

I think you go to rule 4.A.2:

Rule 4.A.2 wrote:In the event of a three-way tie, which ever team is mentioned more in a AggieLacrosse.com News Clipping will be granted the #1 seed.

First of all i think in the event of a 3-way tie, Tech should win...just 'cause.

And SFA v. UTA is a big game, because it will end our (5 game? 6?) losing streak if we win.

Bout time for a home game.
