NYT has a great short piece that list the 15 questions that people should ask each other (and answer) before getting married. Makes for interesting reading -these are very real-life questions.

My preference for questions is similar to the Steve Guttenberg character in Diner who required his fiancee to pass a football knowledge test before he'd walk down the aisle.

True, but you are from California, where the divorce rate rises at a rate only comparable to the increase in the national debt.... Just teasing.

What I will be saying will not draw any guffaws, but I doubt Justin Timberlake and Cameron Diaz read the New York Times article. They just announced that they are going their separate ways. It is alleged that it had to do with Justin's decision to have Scarlett Johannson in his video. Yeah, just a very bad joke on my part.

I presume that's a sub-question to #3.

What about the question of who will be handling the money? paying bills, etc.....
Married 3 years and 2 mo's.
If you both balance the personal check book, both manage the accounting for your businesses and both manage your investments together and if you have the same financial goals money is much closer to fun and less like a headache.
We make all our $$ decisions together we have the same ultimate $$ goals
and we mostly fight about the remote.
