Anybody have any thoughts out there on this season in the PCLL?? Just trying to generate some discussion on our part of the board. Who's got the best offense? defense? surprise team? special players? etc.

I think Northeastern is about to play the toughest schedule ever by a PCLL team. I think changes at UNH (OOC games and a dedicated second year coach) and BC (new coach providing new focus) will make a huge difference and return them to championship form. But if NE plays well out west, they are going to have a jump on everyone else, just like the west coast teams have a jump on us.

In the Division B, I like New Haven, they are really getting things together over there, and Salem to defend their title, especially with the loss of Rochester.

Would love to see some advances by a more seasoned BU team (for personal reasons), and I would also like to see a resurgence by two of our oldest programs, URI and Bridgewater.

Still need to see teams to rate offenses and defenses, but I can't wait to see some of the new talent emerge.

Not 100% positive on this, but I believe BSC hired a new coach, and his name is Mike Sormrude. I think he coached HS ball in CT, and coached for a year or two at Mitchell College (CT, JUCO). Hopefully that is the first step in a resurgence. I know that the alumni are looking to get involved in supporting the team, but they just want to see what is going on as far as school support, and the coaching staff situation goes. I can tell you that the team looked pretty good this fall at the alumni game, although the game was played in about a foot of water, and 60 mph winds. A real positive is that they have Adam Slys back in the cage this year, and that is HUGE.

As far as the top of the ranks go, it looks like the "big 3" of BC, UNH, and NU will be the teams to beat. If I had a vote it would go 1. NU 2. BC 3. UNH. It's very good to see that UNH has scheduled some OOC games. I think that is really going to help the PCLL with its national exposure, and hopefully OOC wins by all our teams will gain the respect that the league is desperately seeking.
