Vatican Soccer Team

I know the Cardinal calls it a football team, but in an effort not to confuse everyone...

Vatican mulls fielding football team

The Vatican may one day field a football team that could rival the top formations in Italy's powerful Serie A, the Holy See's Secretary of State, Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, said Sunday.

So I believe this creates the question of the day. What should the team name/Mascot be? I can't think of a good one yet, but I know it's out there.

Wade,

Big week for SLU basketball! I going to see the Missouri State game tonight, and hopefully get a ticket to Friday's sold-out game against North Carolina.

Real big week. They've been playing well so far, this will really show where they are. Can't get tonights game on tv in KC, so I'll have to follow it online. Thankfully Friday's game is on the U. It'll be fun to watch.

Wouldn't the Vatican be one of most uniquely appropriate places to name its athletic teams the Crusaders? I'd buy their gear if they were the Inquisitors, too, but I suspect that might not be as well received.

[Benny and] the Jets.

However, if they start a singing group I vote for "The Doctrinaires"
