This goal beats all those goals hands down. Micheal Essien is the African player of the year(for good reason).

i was watching this game live on Fox Soccer at 8am on Sunday (cuz im an Arsenal fan and im pissed that Thierry Henry didnt play). and i was ecstatic cuz Arsenal took the lead about 4 minutes earlier. then Essien hit this shot and i sat stunned for about 2 minutes and couldnt believe that i saw it. it was amazing from 40 yards and bending into the post. The Keeper had no chance.
peace.

I am an Arsenal fan as well and they are lucky they even came out of that game with a tie. Frank Lampard, among others, had great chances to win that game for Chelsea in the closing minutes.

ARSEnal sucks, THERES ONLY ONE RED AND WHITE TEAM in Britain and they're topping the tables right now.

Glory Glory Man United and the Reds go marchin on on on.

Yeah I know I got carried away, I'm just so happy that they're back in form and Rooney's kickin into high gears, and we're getting Henrik Larson on loan for a couple of months too.

For those who root on their favorite English football clubs, they can download their favorite team avatar from this site:

http://www.avatarist.com/avatars/Sports/Soccer/England

There will be 17 pages of avatars, and I just noticed that Man U has a new avatar.

Enjoy the top of the table now, if they start using replay to review diving, your team will be lucky to avoid relegation. I kid I kid, but all this diving is getting shameful.

As an arsenal fan i think the future is bright, the team is young and they play the most exciting football in the prem.

Any bandwagon Chelsea fans on here? I enjoy watching them play cause they are entertaining as hell and score a lot, but I think of being a fan of them as being a fan of the Yankees...

first i heard of Chelski being entertaining. they play a defensive-counter-attacking game that is boring as hell. the make 3 runs on the attack each half and score on 1 of them. they have exciting players, but they arent fun to watch.
peace.

Just read this morning's paper and do correct me:

England Premier League:

First place so far: Man U
followed by Chelsea.

I think Arsenal is in fourth place.

For Scottish League,

nothing is new- Celtics followed by Aberdeen and Rangers.

The goal by maxi rodriguez was a heart breaker... Mexico played better, but it just makes that goal that much better! it was definitely my favorite goal of the world cup. Other than that, Roberto Carlos's Free kick vs France is also sick....
