WOW!
Thought I'd post before my power goes off again. Seahawk game due to start within the hour, and we have 50 and 60 mph winds with horizontal rain coming down in buckets. Should be pretty wild out at Qwest Field tonight...

The wind was something else last night. A huge tree fell on my neighbour's house last night. Maybe if they'd have been nicer to me, it wouldn't have come to this.

The power was out in Salem for hours last night/this morning and I had to dodge downed trees the entire trip into work. Right across the street from the College of Law, a large tree was blown over by the winds and it fell right on top of two cars. I think they belong to undergrads. What a way to end finals and start your winter break.

I just gpt done shoveling the walkway for my fiance and her roommates but called it quites as the snow came down faster than I could shovel it. It was a losing battle. The Seattle news is way off as far as weather coverage on the eastern side of the mountains- the passes are NOT bare and wet with slush in places!
