What's in your wallet?
I'm looking at getting a credit card and using it as my "catch all" form of payment to rack up miles, rewards, etc. I'm also looking to transfer some money and use an introductory APR to extend the amount of time to pay it off. I'm wondering what everyone is using that yields great rewards or miles...you know. Any advice? Thanks.

For great rewards get yourself a maximum of two (preferably one) credit card, use it sparingly, and pay it off in total every month, rendering the "APR" analysis immaterial. This will enahance both your credit rating and peace of mind.

Ditto on GrayBear's response! I have a Capital One miles card - one mile for every dollar spent. The nice thing about it, vs. the airline frequent flyer program, is that there are no blackout dates - you can get any flight on any airline anytime - assuming you've got the points banked. (and the miles needed is MUCH less than the typical NWA frequent flyer ticket - I can't usually find an NWA flight for less than 35,000 miles)
However, if you don't pay off the card - you will quickly offset any miles in interest charges. If a payment is late at all, they will jack the rate up very, very quickly - and you're not really aware of it.

Living in a Delta hub city (Atlanta) - I use Delta SkyMiles AMEX. Pay it off each month and acrue Delta SkyMiles annually. There are lots of bonuses and different ways to get miles. And they always pay double miles at the Gas Station, Grocery Store, Post Office, Home Improvement Stores, etc.

Bank of America has a ton of different credit cards that they offer with the kind of rewards you are looking for. You can go online and fill out a questionare and they will reccomend which one is the best for you. Also, they have a service whre you can talk to a bankperson online to help you.

My credit is very good and I don't have any outstanding debt on any of my cards. I'm just looking to consolidate all my cards in to one...I have two MBNA cards that merged in to Bank of America...I'll look in to that option. Thanks guys.

If I were you , I'd cash those miles in pretty quick, if there are any truth to the rumors that Delta will be acquired.
