darn it if that happens. But i just hope they are good bowl games. I think both Florida vs Ohio St and USCvs UofM will be both very close games.

Florida/Ohio State in the National Championship. Does this mean that people/voters are ACTUALLY taking into account strength-of-schedule?! I am seriously about to have a heart attack from being so shocked. I almost think in the back of the voters mind was the 2004 Auburn-fiasco when they beat 4, 5, 8, 15, went undefeated and got shafted.

LSU/Notre Dame. Lights out Notre Dame. Im catholic but if they play any defense ranked higher than #100 they can't score. Ugly, ugly game. Peace be with you ND.

Boise State and Oklahoma. Boise State hasnt beaten a ranked team (#19 TCU) since 2003. Oklahoma big time.

Since you have a GA Tech logo, I am sure you will say GA Tech will beat West Virginia in Gator Bowl.

I'm thinking this should be a very high-scoring affair! Last team with the ball wins??

I have no idea what to expect, a high-scoring game would be my guess. Although I wonder if Tressel has made defensive corrections since the UMich game...

Maybe if Michigan had a harder schedule their team would have gotten better since they'd have better competition  . It works for Ohio State apparently. Regardless, a playoff system would solve the problem. Imagine if boxing was the same way as the BCS system. There'd never be a "real" champion. Only the winner of one game. If Florida wins and UMich wins...more controversy. Either way. At least there's no 2002 Oregon, 2003 USC or 2004 Auburns winning their conference, getting the votes and getting "overlooked".

Trust me, I'm not a Michigan apologist by any stretch of the imagination.

At least it will be nice to have a "traditional" Rose Bowl - Michigan and USC. That "other" big 10 team are just imposters.

Does anyone think that if USC had beaten UCLA would Florida still have climbed above Michigan in the final standings?

i think you have a valid point there. i don't agree with anyone who suddenly changed their mind just to avoid the re-match. I also think people maybe thought the USC/OSU game was a forgone conclusion and didn't think as much about the #3/#4 places.

i on the other hand have biasly thought that UF was the best of the 1-loss teams.

I was dissapointed and didn't agree that michigan retain their #2 ranking after the ohio state loss.

remember, there was no outrage when Florida previously held the #2 spot (above michigan) prior to their loss @ auburn.

Just a thought...early odds on Ohio State v Florida is Ohio -8, at a neutral field. When Ohio St played Mich it was Ohio -7 at the "shoe". Assuming a rematch actually happened and my guess is that game is -4/-3 at a neutral field. Just a thought...Vegas might not agree with a Florida at #2.

they already said it would be michigan -7 if michigan and florida played on a neutral site. but the number is just an educated guess. even vegas is wrong sometimes.

if osu and uf played 10 times, osu might win 7 but that does not matter because they are only playing once.
