Michigan or Florida...who gets to face Ohio State?

With USC losing, who gets the title shot?

just being a fan of the college game...I have already seen the Michigan v. Ohio State game. In fact, we get to see it every year. I think watching Florida v. Ohio State would be a great game. There is no doubt in my mind that the 3 teams are the best in the country, but I couldn't speculate the order. I'm just pulling for a game I haven't already seen this year.

I think both teams are worthy of the #2 spot and a game against OSU.

All I will say is that today's games reminded me why I love college football.

Some great games and another one is about to end (West Va-Rutgers).

What about Boise State? Put the two undefeated teams against each other. If there is no playoff system then how could a team like Boise get to try to play for a national championship?

Undefeated does not equal national championship bid for Boise. It is quite obvious that they are not a better team than the teams in front of them. Michigan in my opinion deserves the shot. They are and were the only team of the one loss teams to lose to a team they were supposed to...and only by 3pts...on the road too. Every other team was upset by teams who were lower ranked or unranked. The argument of a not wanting to see a rematch does not hold water in my opinion as you can't fault Michigan for be required to play a scheduled game. Had they not faced off against eachother, there would be a conversation as both would be in AZ in Jan. The pollsters are charged with ranking teams in terms of who is the next best team. Factoring in not wanting to see a rematch is not part of the equation and bad polling, in my opinion.

i wish boise would play harder teams each year. They are a great team but they do not have the strength of schedule like mich, ohio st. florida, etc. If they would move/play teams from a harder conference it would be easier to say, let them play in the national championship.

Being from michigan i want to see the biggest rival game of the year... twice.

my vote UofM vs Ohio State in the national championship.

Sorry florida.. go play in the orange bowl.

SEC Champ versus Big 10 Champ. In my book, you have to win your conference to get a title shot. There should be no wild card in college football.

Boise State did play a good opponent last year, and got blown out of the water by Georgia. The point of strength of schedule is...not playing 1 good team a year (that only happens in your bowl game), it's about playing solid teams week in and week out. Ohio State played Texas outside of their conference, Arkansas played USC, etc. To clear up the Michigan/Florida debate, look at Florida's schedule, then Michigan's. Game over.

I agree Boise does not deserve it but I really believe in a playoff that will never happen. In any other sport, going undefeated gets you a chance to go to the championship through a playoff system. In the current system, they dont have a shot even thought they went undefeated.

My vote is for a playoff

If Ohio st plays Florida and Ohio blows out florida. This is going to start one huge controversey over whether uofm should have played instead of Florida. I would hate to be the one who has to decide this.

It is hard to say that a number 2 team in a conference should play in the national championship but in this case when the 2 best schools in the nation come from one conference an exception must be made.

Who ever it is i hope Ohio State will lose.

If ohio state was not in Michigan's conference this year, they would win their conference. If ohio st was in the SEC, florida would not have won their conference. You can't fault michigan for not winning when the best team in the country plays in their conference. Also, michigan lost to #1 by 3 on the road. Florida lost to #11 by 10 on the road. Game over!...GO BLUE!!!

How do you know they wouldnt? You dont. Didnt everyone say this about Cal 2 years ago in the Holiday bowl? Michigan's schedule included Ohio State, a defenseless Notre Dame...um....and uh...um...yeah, that's it. Typically the Big 10 has some quality teams, but not this year...6 teams above .500 out of 11 (the SEC has 9 out of 12 btw). I dont thnk anyone can honestly say that Michigan could have gone through Florida's schedule and came out with only 1 loss...that came off an iffy call (but I like Auburn so I wont go into that one).

If you dont win your conference, you dont deserve to play for the national title.

LA Times is reporting Florida passed Michigan in the BCS rankings to be unveiled later tonight meaning the Gators will play Ohio State in Glendale for the BCS National Championship.

not so fast... Auburn was #6 when they beat UF.

Michigan's last TD in the OSU game only made the game look more competitive afterward.
Auburn tacked on a TD as time expired on a fumble in the UF game.

Ohio state's schedule does not impress me now that texas has been proven human.
