Here is a very interesting profile on Doanld Rumsfeld, exploring how he became Sec. of Defense for the Bush administration, with a goal to transform the militaary from a Cold War structure to a more modern form, and how the war in Iraq disrupted his plans. A good read!

Excellent read, I've never really taken after The New Yorker before, but this was pretty impressive. I don't mind reading liberal-minded journalism as long as it's free of all the GD whining.
