Hooray for Nebrasketball!
Don't worry, they'll let us all down when the regular season really gets underway.

Huskers are the best!
In a sudden, but not completely unexpected announcement, the Nebraska basketball team was named both the Missouri Valley Conference and Big 12 Conference Champions for the 2006-2007 season. After Creighton fell to the Huskers on November 18, 2006, conference commissioners saw no reason to postpone the inevitable. All Big 12 and MVC contests have been cancelled.
In a related announcement, the Nebraska lacrosse team was crowned the winner of the Great Rivers Lacrosse Conference for the spring 2007 season. Commissioner Mosher was quoted as saying "I heard that Nebraska was tied 4-4 with Creighton at halftime in a fallball game. That's enough for me."
Now, all joking aside, I will be attending the Colorado-Nebraska football game this Friday in Lincoln. While I married into a family of Husker Nation fanatics (for the most part I don't really care about Nebraska athletic accomplishments) this is my biggest game of the year. The Big 12 North Title means little unless you can beat Colorado. Go Corn!
