Michigan 12
Arizona 1
Michigan played a great game and deserve lots of credit. They got an Excellent defense.

Not good enough to score any goals. Forget the year, this is one of the most surpising scores I've ever seen in our league. Big win for the Wolverines and makes this Saturday's game against BYU even more intriguing.
Always on point . . .

Definitely a shocking score, I don't think anyone could have predicted a score like that.
You may recall that Arizona finished their season in the WCLL finals last year losing by a very similar score of 1-11 to UCSB. I know that Arizona is a very good team but is there possibly a trend of rolling over when things get really tough against other top teams?

Definitely surprised by the score (not necessarily the UM win).
I didn't get the feeling UofA rolled over in last years WCLL final, they just got completely shut down by a great defense.

This is true. Arizona played extremely well against Sonoma the day before that loss, but they ran into a buzzsaw the next day facing a very motivated UCSB team that had played lethargically against Cal Poly the day before.

I think people are being too rough on Arizona. How many people have seen Michigan play this year? Let's see how Michigan fares against BYU before we make assumptions about the strength of either team. If Michigan handles BYU fairly easily in Provo, then they have to be given serious consideration as a threat to CSU and UCSB.

The word I heard is that when Michigan got to Arizona their bodies finally thawed out and they were amazingly mobile! Get them back to the cold, cold North!

sohot, if the Michigan game was on BYUtv, we would really be able to get a good look at them and be able to judge a little better. Arizona has plenty of time to rebound with their WCLL schedule ahead of them, but they really could have used a win against the Wolverines to secure a top 5 seed. Now, unless they beat UCSB they will be right on the edge there. The WCLL playoffs will be important as they jockey for playoff position as well and I'm still not totally sure what UCSD brings to the table.
