Not only an interview, but the rumor is that he received $3.5M to write a book called "If I Did It."

can criminal court go after him for perjury etc just for the sake of finding him guilty in a retrial??

I thought he wasn't able to profit off of books, etc. b/c he still owes the Goldman's/Brown's like 30 million?

That's what I thought too, but I guess the book will be out in a few days. Someone's squeezing the juice......

There may be a work around in that this is couched in terms of "if" this happened. He is not writing about his "actual" experience, but some "fictional" tale about how it "might" have happened.

He cannot be retried again under the "double jeopardy" clause of the Constitution. The Goldman family just lost their bid in a California court to take control of OJ's name and the money he makes off of that.
If you ever want to see OJ, try hanging out at his home golf course, Miccosukee Golf Club in Miami. Seen him there twice. He seemed to be chasing the white ball more adamantly than the killer.

OJ's son plays LSM for the Gulliver Prep School in Miami.
Haven't seen him play in person, but heard he is a great athlete.

I heard he's a killer on defense!
The only problem is - his gloves don't fit!
Im doing my best to refrain from making a joke about slashing.

OJ cannot be retried for murder under Double Jeopardy.
IF...OJ had taken the stand in his murder trial, and testified under oath that he didn't do it, and then later admitted that he did...THEN he could be tried for perjury, but not for murder. The perjury charge would not count under Double Jeopardy because he was never previously tried for perjury. However, OJ never took the stand and to my knowledge has never under oath or on a sworn document stated that he killed his wife and her friend.
People convicted of crimes are usually not allowed to make money off of their crimes, i.e. selling books and movie rights. Since OJ was never convicted of a crime, and discusses his the murders in his book in hypothetical terms, he easily gets around that issue.
I don't know if he got $3.5m for the book, but in my limited knowledge regarding tort law, that money should go towards the $30m he owes the Goldman's. They can't touch his $300k yearly NFLPA pension, but I can't imagine why they wouldn't get that money.
Interesting note, I was on a puddle jumper with OJ once, flying from Dallas to Shreveport, LA. Two things I noticed: 1) the man is really, really old. There's a lot of makeup magic that goes into him before interviews. 2) The guy could barely walk down the terminal. However many years of being an NFL running back has left him with almost more side-to-side in his walk than forward. And you wonder why everybody is harping on Tiki for retiring.

Rick Reilly just did his piece regarding that. He brought up some guys that have had more surgeries to their knees and back than Michael Jackson to his nose. I think Tiki making a great decision.
