Boston, MA – Major League Lacrosse (MLL), the premier professional outdoor lacrosse league, announced today that it will allow its players to compete in the 2007 Warrior World Indoor Lacrosse Championships, which are taking place in Halifax, Nova Scotia from May 14th-20th, according to MLL Commissioner David Gross.
“Major League Lacrosse understands how important it is to some players to represent their country when afforded the opportunity,” said Gross. “We always want to be as flexible as we can when it comes to matters such as this.”
The 2007 Major League Lacrosse season will begin on May 19 which does conflict with the last two days of the 2007 Warrior World Indoor Games. However, MLL had the same issue last year when the 2006 Warrior World Lacrosse Championship was played on July 21, 2006. 21 of the 23 members of Team USA were members of MLL teams while another 10 MLL players were scattered amongst the other 20 national teams.
