Metro vs. UCCS

Metro vs. UCCS

Postby Ed on Mon Oct 23, 2006 5:30 pm

We played yesterday at the SSPRD dome in Centennial. Both teams had about the same numbers and we were inside so the weather and field were great (it was even a little hot).

The final score was 10-0 Metro.

Mike that was a good time, you guys are very organized and you will no doubt improve quickly the more you play together. Let me know when you want to play in the spring or whenever.

What lead to the shutout? Defense, keeper, good shooting on Metro's part?

In the dome?
Does colorado have snow already? I saw CSU at Wyoming and there was a light dusting of snow in Laramie. It really looked cold.... I don't miss everything about Utah.

Yep...we had a youth clinic scheduled for last Saturday with a bunch of guys from CSU coming down to help and we woke up to 4" of snow.

Combo of possession time, Defense and Keeper. We also held teams to under 5 goals yesterday at the trick or treat shootout.

I guess I should have said NEXT year, I heard about the dues issue. That sucks.

Who is Metro playing this spring anyway?

From what I understand the #1 issue was our school not supporting us by keeping us from playing on the school field #2 was dues. It does suck, I am fighting to get the field but it will not be easy. They are now trying to say that the NCAA does not allow clubs to use fields that are used by NCAA teams (I know this to be false).

Anyway, we are playing Western, Mines, Ft. Lewis, and NAU for sure and will prob pick up games against CSUP, UCCS, UNC, New Mexico, DU club, and maybe a trip into Utah. Pretty much a full schedule.

Hey Ed,

Yes that was a very well played game. You guys certainly outplayed us on every level. We all had fun, except for the shutout and loss.

You are right that we will get better as we play more games. That was our very first game in UCCS history. We look forward to playing you in the spring.

By the way, as to the spring, when would you like to play?
