Agree with all of that, but it is going to be the A's. But def the team coming from that series is going to take it easy, the NL is weak

Fast fact: AL- 60 WS wins; NL- 41 WS wins. That comes from the MLB site.

Another site to look at:

and not just historically, but look at what happened this year in interdivision play. I don't remember the exact numbers, but this year the AL killed in the games.

Detroit's been running hot and cold all season. Hopefully they're on one of their hot streaks! That reminds me I gotta go call my Dad. He as at Saturday's game... :D

Thanks to the Tigers for keeping the Yankees out of the ALCS.

I'll be rooting for Detroit for the AL title and for the Brooklyn Dodgers, oh, I mean Los Angeles Dodgers for winning the NL.

Interesting about the ALCS (Detroit and Oakland) and NLCS (New York Mets and Los Angeles): all of these teams have won the World Series. Two teams from the West Coast, one team from the Midwest, and one team from the East Coast.

New York is playing St. Louis not Los Angeles

I think the team to beat is the Tigers, they're hot right now.........and the scene they put on when they won the series against the Spankees, giving back the fans by not just staying in the club house was amazing to watch. Thats how a team should treat their fans!

Now that I've said my piece, GO CARDS!!! At least we're not favorites this year so we can't really let people down (we can either "over-achieve" or do what is expected!)

My Dad and sister got to see it up-close and personal. They had a blast waving the orange towels that were handed out to the fans, and spent most of the game standing. They moved down to the bottom tier during the last inning to make it easier for my Dad to leave (he's 85) and watched the last few pitches from the first base line. Said it was just phenomenal to watch the players celebrating with the fans and the champagne corks flying. Dad came away from it with a big smile on his face -- he even missed the Nebraska game to stay and watch the festivities (Trust me, that's saying ALOT if he missed one of their games!!). After the game the fans were pounding on the busses shouting 'LET'S GO TIGERS!!' Patt said it was like being in high school all over again. Dad held onto both his orange towel and his program. Truly something none of them will ever forget.

How 'bout them Tigers?!!!!!
Two games won on the road, and Kenny Rogers and Jeremy Bonderman up next on the mound. What an unbelievable turnaround for that franchise, and a very nice psychological boost for a city that's been taking it on the chin economically.
Who knows? Maybe it'll even rub off on the Lions this weekend and they can pick up their first win of the season.

You gotta love the Tigers....I always find it hard to cheer against a team who has done so badly in years past and have finally made it to the glory games!
