The National Lacrosse League (NLL) and VERSUS (formerly OLN) today announced the schedule of NLL games that will air on VERSUS during the 2007 season. The weekly national telecasts will air in primetime on Saturday nights, with telecasts starting at 10PM Eastern/7PM Pacific. The schedule includes fifteen regular season games, All-Star Game and Championship Game. The telecasts will mark the first time the sport of lacrosse is showcased in a national, weekly series airing in primetime.

The schedule kicks off on December 30, 2006, the Opening Night of the 2007 season, with the defending champion Colorado Mammoth hosting the Rochester Knighthawks. The schedule also includes the first-ever home games for the expansion Chicago Shamrox (January 6) and New York Titans (January 20 from Madison Square Garden). A 2007 rematch of last season's Championship Game between Colorado and the Buffalo Bandits will air on January 13. The 2007 All-Star Game from Portland (March 10) and 2007 Championship Game (May 12) are included in the schedule of games on VERSUS.

"We're excited to partner with VERSUS in bringing the National Lacrosse League to a national television audience on a weekly basis", said NLL Commissioner Jim Jennings. "With a game on every Saturday night, we will showcase the world's greatest lacrosse players to millions of viewers across the US".

"NLL games are a terrific addition to the expanding roster of sports content on VERSUS," said Marc Fein, Senior Vice President of Programming and Production for the network. "The weekly telecasts of NLL games will help us continue to broaden our reach and appeal to new viewers."

VERSUS (VERSUS.com) celebrates competition in all its forms. The network is the national cable home of the National Hockey League (NHL) and the Stanley Cup Playoffs as well as best-in-class events like The Tour de France, the America's Cup, the Dakar Rally, the Professional Bull Riders (PBR), Professional Boxing, the Boston Marathon, AMA Motocross and Davis Cup. Now in more than 70 million homes, the network features the best field sports programming on television and is a destination for sports fans, athletes and sportsmen to find exclusive, competitive events that audiences can't find elsewhere.
