STX X3

Anyone know if it's true that the STX X3 head will only fit on the crankshaft?

It can fit other shafts...but the crankshaft has that 5-10 degree bend so the head is not offset at all to compensate. In fact it actually angles forward a bit. But to answer your question, yes the crankshaft "fits" on other shafts.

There was a post about this a while ago here:

Maybe LaxRef can chime in with more info, but it sounds like the head and shaft are used together. So interchanging the Cracnkshaft shaft or head with another might make it illegal. You might want to verify this before using it in a game.[/url]

I had the X3 before trading it away. The head can only go on the 10 degree crankshaft. It is not designed for normal shafts.

You may put a regular head on a 2 degree crankshaft but there are very specific rules about it.

I've seen people attempt to play with the x3 (and also the kannon) on a non-offset shaft, the results were pretty bad. Imagine having a stick with negative whip, if that makes sense.

Original X3? Or do you mean Exaliber. If you have enough money I might be persuaded in selling a brand new excaliber I picked up in my travels.
