I dont think casinos bring kids from BC all the way down to Missouri. There must be some other financial incentive that we dont know about that brought them to LU.

Or it could just be the opportunity to get a good education and play for a respected coach.

Why do people hate on LU? Troy does a hell of a job getting kids to come to LU and buy into his system. Hell why not, if a kid can go to LU for free, get a education, and just pay anywhere from $3,000.00 - $5,000.00 to play lacrosse, then its a win win for both the student/player/family/school/program. (exp. my brother at Oakland pays for no school, but pays for dues, I know my family is happy, and so is he, the university, and the program.)

Troy does not pay for these kids to come to school at LU. I am sure the school takes notice that these are great kids who have worked hard, and can add growth to the program and university and the school gives them some type academic scholarship if there grades show.

This came up last year, and Troy and his program was not in the wrong at all, and has done nothing of that short. He does a great job building and est. a program.

Give credit where credit is due.

Coach Hood knows how to recruit kids and to get them to come to The WOOD

To preclude any misunderstandings, my short response above is intended as support for LIndenwood's program and coach. Mr. Kassa does far better justice to the thoughts I was trying to express.

I join in Mr. Kassa's comments.

Seriously!? Seriously!? I'm tired of this. This is my last year at Lindenwood and you know what I have got over the past few years at the wood. A great education, an internship that led to a job in May as an account exec at UPS, friends and connections that will last a lifetime, alot of lacrosse that let me travel the country and play against huge schools, and on top of all that STUDENT LOANS!

I pay to go to Lindenwood everyone on my team does. Whether you believe it or not. This is all in the past, or at least is supposed to be. So thank you for your second post ever being against LU. And for it being anonymously. Please grow up. If there were wrong doing it would have been found last year. Move on and lets play some good lacrosse.

Before everyone gets too excited over someone's inaugural message board post...

Have any of you ever considered that someone on a anonymous message board might not actually be the person they appear to represent?

Food for thought.

On a more serious note...............I know that Coach Hood tried to lure Matt Danowski down form Duke when all that hoopla went down in Durham. Can't believe he turned down a full ride, mercedes, and yacht.

.......What would fall be without more Lindenwood lacrosse allegations.

I have already proposed several amendments to the GRLC bylaws to stop the attacks on Lindenwood. First would be to remove the restrictions on financial aid and the second would be to defer to national standards on varsity teams playing in the GRLC. I am not saying that either applies to LU but both have fueled past issues. Most of the Exec board is in favor of the changes. We will find out at the conference meeting if the teams approve.

When I first read this statement I really didn't think "attack" or malicious. I'm not sure of the intentions of the poster, but it could have just been a general statement? Maybe...maybe not? After reading the responses to the post I can see how it is deemed a slight.

Anyway, I think A.J.'s ideas are great........We are going to be seeing more examples in our leagues with teams that have situations similar to LU. Just seems inevitable with the growth of the game at the this level.

Oh snap i havnt seen that many canadian recruits since playing d2 in the deep south conf. Kinda funny how far those kids will go for club. But hey if st. andrews and Limestone can get all those canadians down to southern NC and SC, Missouri is not that far of a stretch.
