VT 19, Missouri 12

Both games were previously reported on the USLIA.com Scores page:

Is that score for real? What happened to Tennessee?

VT was up 9-1 after 1 quarter. Were up by 10 most of the game. Mizzou scored a couple late ones to make it closer. I think VT brought out most of their starters between mid-3rd quarter and the beginning of the 4th.
As for our game vs. VT. End of the 1st quarter it was 1-0 VT. At half it was 6-0. Wheels kind of feel off for us in the 3rd. VT had a great all-around defense and are legit contenders for the title once again.

Va. Tech is very strong in transition. It's not their speed, although they have plenty of that as well, but they do a great job of finding the open man on all the breaks. We did a good job of limiting their opportunities in the first half, but wore down in the second half. They also have a very deep bench allowing fresh legs to push the ball all game long.
The Va. Tech close defense is the best I've seen all year, physical and can handle the ball well when clearing. I'm not sure how good their Goalie is because we never really challenged him.

With all due respect, no one has blown us out this year, we have too good a goalie in net... 4-1 1st half, 6-3 2nd half, that would mean the reserves are al little better at putting the ball in the net I guess...

A very Two Sided weekend for Charlotte.

A real strong this team this year, that we just didn't show up for. Our middies were not ready to contend with what theirs were going to do offensively. #4 n #11 jsut seemed to get their shots every time. They had a strong attack as well. #42 n #14 were big against us. But Phil has always done a great job. And we also expected a big game fromt the Doyle's. Almoast certain they'll be around in Atlanta.

Good group of guys. I expected more from #27 though. #17 seemed to be their real thret, he seemed to have the ball the most n was the only one i saw going left. THey have a good coach, and i can see some good things for Winthrop in the future.
