Who is playing fall ball?

If this is true, it sure does not leave much of an LSA-B division. Looking at the league meeting minutes I see AC, STE, SWN, TU, and TCU are the only teams left. OU and TCU are D-I schools so that just leaves 4 true B teams. Anybody know about Tulane? I heard OSU was going to play but aren't they D-1 also?

In any event, losing a program that looked pretty organized for the last 5 years is really going to put the hurt on B.

OU's petitioning to move up to division A for the upcomming season, so I doubt that we'll be Div B next year. OSU is still gonna play too, but they're also D-A

from the looks of it right now, no we won't be fielding a team...

a ton of things contributed to our downfall last year, i just hope that once the few of us that are still here are gone the whole team isn't just forgotten and done with.

B Division

Postby Karl Lynch on Tue Sep 12, 2006 9:53 am

RD,

UNT has never played in the B division. And stop recruiting current players that are not playing in the fall, but will be playing in the spring. They are not Alumni.

We are going to have to start having eligibility checks on some of the Alumni to see if they even went to UNT -- ever.

There's no doubt that Stupka will come through. Have you seen his newest move? Sweet Moves Stupka has developed the most deadly lacrosse move since the side-arm shot. It's known as the "face-roll." Even spectators on the sidelines lose balance and fall to the ground just watching Stupka perform the face-roll. Those pos rookies will be begging for merkins by the time we're done with them.

Stupka

Postby Karl Lynch on Tue Sep 12, 2006 1:26 pm

Stupka has gotten so good at catching that he was spotted playing lacrosse with a tennis racket this summer. Or has he abandoned lacrosse for tennis?

Csone34 why don't you remind us all what POS stands for?

division

Wow, does this mean that every team except one is going to make playoffs? So much for the importance of winning games.

It also seems unfair to have an AQ when the GRLC is looking to field close to 20 B teams this year and only get one AQ.

AQ

Postby Karl Lynch on Wed Sep 13, 2006 4:07 pm

No, it is not unfair to have a six team league get an AQ to the tournament.

Nor is it unfair that GRLC only has one with a large B division.

The rules were specifically set up to give AQs to any conference that has six teams in a division. AQs by definition are arbitrary.

If you have a problem with AQs for LSA teams, please realize that without AQs over the past several years, no LSA team would have made it to the tournament. The last AQ, but otherwise qualifying team to make the national tournament from the LSA was A&M.

Be thankful we have two AQs. I have a gift horse if you want to look in its mouth.

This really sucks, but it is necessary for us to get back to where we once were. Since the creation of the LSA B, we were the only team to make the playoffs every single year, won the 2004 Championship, played in the 2005 championship.

hmm... Southwestern has made it every year... but I understand what your saying

Don't believe everything you read on the internet ( except this) . UTA will be fielding a team and playing this year.

That's great to hear...ya'll have a great program and it's a shame to loose one in our neck of the woods. Keep at it man

Well, let's see. If UTA shows up on Saturday, they will be fielding a team. If no one bothers to attend the meeting, we may have a different result,

Karl,

I would spend time recruiting guys for the "A Team" (as Codpiece Sones calls it) but I'm really not worried about it. My only concern is whether or not I want to get in shape to score 9 goals from Midfield, or worry about my golf swing and score 9 goals from Attack.

A Team Predictions

Postby Karl Lynch on Thu Sep 14, 2006 10:56 am

RD,

Just to make sure I've got it right. Here is what I have so far.

RD 9 goals
Files 9 goals
Sones 6 goals
Stupka 6 goals
Embry 6 goals
Forster 3 goals
Alonzo 3 minutes in penalties. All for offsides
Carr dirt only on the back of his jersey from being clocked by rookies

Did I miss any of the current alumni predictions?
