Congrats to SFU and to UPS for huge conference wins today.
Anybody else check-out the ever-changing Laxpower rankings tonight? Laxpower now loves the PNCLL after casting us in their cellar for years. Idaho has played one game and has the second toughest Strength of Schedule in the MDIA A Division (chuckle). All seven teams are over-ranked, especially now-defunct Wazzou showing up at #1 in SOS. It will change, certainly. But worth taking a snap-shot of it tonight, along with the rankings, and the TSI...

The Gap
CATLAX, I stand corrected (somewhat). First off, I never said that Oregon was a top-4 team. I just stated that the Oregon team from '05 is far better than the 2004 squad. . .and having seen CSU last year, I really feel that Oregon might be able to compete at the next level.
As for Fraser, I knew that their defense was excellent. I had no idea that they were good enough to hold Oregon to 5 goals. Very impressive. Their goalie must have been unbelievable.
But yes, as you noted, the "gap" may be wider than I originally thought. Congrats to SFU for a fantastic win on the road, the day after playing a very tough Chico State team.

Horse Race
By the way Dan, it looks like "OnwardChristianssoldier" was the winning horse on Sunday with Mike Christians scoring 5 goals in a 7-5 Fraser victory. . .at 8:1 that was a very nice payoff. . .
