MLL Coverage

MLL Coverage

Postby Kojima on Fri Aug 25, 2006 11:07 am

Just wondering if there's any hype for the MLL Championship Weekend, this Aug/25-27, 2006? Is it being aired? Talked about? From the number of views on this thread, I guess not many of you guys are into it, but I'm curious as to how the game's doing south of the border. (We don't get any coverage of the mll in canada.)

Summer is a slower time for the web site in general as many players and coaches are all over the country - playing or working at camps.

Here is some info on this weekend's action, including the broadcast options:

From dailynews.com

In its inaugural season, the Riptide finished 6-6, one victory short of making the league's four-team playoffs. The Riptide drew 4,198 fans per game, the third-best average in the league.

I thought they were stuggling this year?

Anyone else unable to get the MLL video from www.budlight.com to show up? Earlier I was caught in a rut of being asked what player and connection I had repeatedly, now I can't even get the homepage to show up. It would seem to me that they underestimated the server demand.

I spoke too soon. Maybe I spoke perfectly, in my experience with server administrators, all you have to do is say something to get it fixed miraculously.

Just saw Alex Smith congratulate Geoff Snider after winning the last face-off of the 1st half. With the score what it is, 14-7, maybe we'll get to see a bit more of you later.

Looks like Alex got in at the very end of the game (1 save, 1 goal allowed in 1:36 of play):
