Demon Deacon Invitational to be held February 16th-18th

The Wake Forest Demon Deacons (members of the SELC-A Division) will be hosting the Demon Deacon Invitational from Friday, February 16th through Sunday, February 18th this upcoming spring season. The round robin event will be held at Kentner Stadium on the campus of Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Kentner Stadium is the host of this year’s upcoming NCAA Division I Field Hockey Final Four and has an Astroturf surface and lights for night games. We are looking to attract 3 top level A teams, all from different conferences so 3 out of conference games can be fulfilled. Games will be played Friday and Saturday nights as well as Sunday in the late morning/early afternoon period. Right now, we’re looking at the tournament entry fee being $300 per team in order to cover costs for EMT’s and staffing, but as of yet this is not set in stone. There are plenty of hotels and restaurants in the Winston-Salem area.
