What happened to academic all-american honors? Those were for A & B divisions.
Those applications were faxed. So, there should be a hard copy. Is that list lost too?

I am sorry guys nothing has been released as of yet. We meet in 2 weeks for the summer meetings and I know this is on the agenda, as well as the whole AA process for A and B.

In the SELC we have two seperate committee's that vote on A and B all conference. I think that may be where we are going with the MDIA. I know I had a vote in the B AA and I felt inadequate to vote. I took mine home and consulted with some SELC guys I knew in B but again that does not mean much if those people did not see many other B teams play.

I know the Board is concerned about all of this along with many other issues and we are sorry this has taken so long. It may not be much, but look for an announcement after our summer meetings in mid-Aug. It is tough to get all of us together after the tournament with vacations, work, travel, camps, etc....

Thanks for your continued patience and dedication.

Thank you Ken for the information. Jolly Roger- I don't think that it's fair to refer to people hoping to find out what is going on with All-America honors as "complainers". Would the same be said if this situation was happening in the A division as well? Would everybody in the A league who was looking for resolution be labeled a complainer too? I think if this happened to both divisions and not just B, there would perhaps be more of a sense of urgency to fix this whole thing. Personally I don't think telling people to take care of it themselves next year is a solution. Also, to echo Bluevelvet's post- is anything known about the academic AA status?

Quick question about All-Americans... Most conferences have honors for specialist players, but it doesnt seem to be the same way for AA honors. Does the USLMDIA plan on voting on these positions or do are AA midfielders only based on offensive production?

I second that statement! Would the voting have happened without the voice that this forum provides?
