McKinney out in Georgia

Postby StrykerFSU on Wed Aug 09, 2006 11:06 am

It looks like you can't hit a cop these days, not even on Capitol Hill.

Rep. Cynthia McKinney, known for her conspiracy theories about the Sept. 11 attacks and a scuffle with a U.S. Capitol police officer, conceded the Democratic primary runoff

Are you insinuating what I think you are? McKinney is a "NWA"? Wow, you are a pathetic human being.

I was referring to the song "F%$* the Police" but I can see how it could be misconstrued and I apologize to anyone who might misunderstand and be offended. The post's title was meant to reference a lack of respect for police without any thought to McKinney's race. My apologies for the lack of sensitivity, the title has been changed.

There is a big difference between what I was implying and what sohotrightnow inferred. I guess what I should have said was the Zsa Zsa Gabor platform was a loser since my point was that assaulting a police officer was a bad thing to do and might cost you your job if you are member of Congress.

When I first read the title of the thread, I thought that we were going to have our first foray into airline employee relations.

I am reminded of the early Comedy Central tagline: "Don't Take Comedy From Strangers!" I agree with SoHot: WOW!

sohotrightnow - I know emotions run high around politics, but please watch your attitude toward other posters. Calling other posters pathetic is over the line.

Back on topic - McKinney certainly has attitude. That much is for certain. She also doesn't take a shred of accountability for her own actions. Mildly suprised she didn't blame the Jews for this election loss, like her father did several years ago.

I think you just described the bulk of society today.

Maybe so, but the bulk of society isn't in the US Capitol building representing the 4th District of the State of GA.

I don't know much about McKinney, but I think her and I would get along. We both hate cops at least.

The bulk of society isn't in the White House either.

It still cramps my brain that people actually vote for her. She's an embarrassment to this state.

I finally caught tape of McKinney's "concession" speech last night. Her choice of music spoke volumes but what really bothered me was the anti-Semitic rants by her security detail, namely the New Black Panther Party. Will these anti-Semitic remarks from employees of a state representative get as much play as Mel Gibson's? I think not.

Yeah, I don't think they will get as much play, but I think it is fair to say that more people have heard of Mel Gibson than Cynthia McKinney, thus the attention towards him is warranted.

So let's just review here..... you seem to hate cops & the men & women of the armed forces. Is there anyone else you'd like to put on your hate list, like fire fighters, EMTs, Doctors, Nurses, etc?

You seem to have a lot of hate for a person that is self-proclaimed "tolerant of all people no matter their creed, race, color, sexual orientation." It would appear that the defiing line is their profession.

Perhaps I should have rephrased my initial statement, because apparently any semblance of sarcasm is lost on your part. Sorry I didn't add a "smiley" emoticon or an "eyes rolling" emoticon after I made that statement. Would that make you happy? I "don't like" the power trip that a lot of cops have (acting as if everybody who they pull over is mass murderer) and the abuse of power that they readily use (brute force for no reason other than to make up for the lack of attention that mommy and daddy didn't provide them). I live in San Diego and the cops here are slimeballs. Do you know what a good percentage of them do? They patrol the beach and look at T&A all day, when people are being robbed in other parts of the city. Tough job  <----- Look.

That's alright dude, I know what you're really trying to say. I'll step forward and speak for my brethren: you're welcome.

I'm a cop... in San Diego. And you're welcome. For being able to sleep at night in a free country, for being able to go to the beach, and for being able to get on the computer and share your feelings, you're welcome.

I can read between the lines, you really don't need to go any further. You probably started out trying to say one thing and then somehow got twisted up into this diatribe. Now you really can't say what you want to and still save face, yeah, that's a tough spot. Don't worry, you don't have to say it, we all know how you really feel about cops and the military. You're welcome.

What lines are there to read between? I don't like what they do and/or how they act. I won't be surprised if you show up at my door to arrest me now.
