Division B AA's
this is approaching ridiculous. i was tempted to suggest that the exec board should refund all division b team dues, but my assistant coach advised me to resist the urge.

Thats just ridiculous. Someones computer crashed. Your dues went to a lot of stuff, not just the AA voting. Your dues went to help run the national tournament (good job by the way EB). Crap I'll donate the ten bucks it would take to print out ballots and mail them out.
Granted they should have been done at the same time as Division A. It is still no reason at all to start complaining and asking for a refund.

corbin, thanks for taking me seriously. i didn't deserve that or even expect it. i was joking.
lighten up buddy. no one wants their dues back.
for my lame attempt at humor, i apologize.
i am sure that those who are looking into this problem are doing the best that they can. and we (players, coaches, families, friends, administrators, fans) appreciate it. it is just unfortunate that these circumstances arose. it isn't anyone's fault. as division b director, i have been inundated with questions and i don't have any information to pass along. maybe a simple post or update like "it will be another 14 days" or whatever, would help.
again, it is no one's fault. we are all volunteers and have other jobs, lives, commitments, etc. it is just unfortunate that these problems occurred.
i still love you corbin.

What is stopping uslia from having another div. B all-american vote? Better late than never. A flash drive can be used to periodically back up the voting counts too. Is anything in the works for producing a B division list this year?

If it doesn't happen, thats poor form on the USLIA's part. What about the seniors who won't get another chance at all-american?

I heard even Walter Cronkite is going to say the All-Americans are not happening this year...

All complainers are welcome to volunteer to manage the Division B All America process for 2007. Please contact the current MDIA Awards Chairperson, Tony Scazerro, and let him know you'll help.
I suspect the situation will be resolved during the Board of Directors meeting in a couple of weeks.

Complaining
Jolly R,
I don't believe everyone is complaining about the actual issuing of div b all americans as much as there is a true lack of communication from the board and a public statement is necessary. By even saying there will be no div b all americans, USLIA can still be recognized as an organized alternative to varsity lacrosse with the understanding that many of the people involved are volunteers.
But that is just an opinion...

Div B AA
I am sorry guys nothing has been released as of yet. We meet in 2 weeks for the summer meetings and I know this is on the agenda, as well as the whole AA process for A and B.
In the SELC we have two seperate committee's that vote on A and B all conference. I think that may be where we are going with the MDIA. I know I had a vote in the B AA and I felt inadequate to vote. I took mine home and consulted with some SELC guys I knew in B but again that does not mean much if those people did not see many other B teams play.
I know the Board is concerned about all of this along with many other issues and we are sorry this has taken so long. It may not be much, but look for an announcement after our summer meetings in mid-Aug. It is tough to get all of us together after the tournament with vacations, work, travel, camps, etc....
Thanks for your continued patience and dedication.
