Are these Kennys any relation to the guy who used to be the keeper for UVa prior to Tillman getting to campus?

Jake Kenney is the brother of Derek, who played at UVa. The SC-1 shaft is pretty nice, too. I'm a fan.

Any idea about the strength of these shafts? Just had a Gait/DeBeer DB803 break on me after about 3 weeks and am looking for something a bit stronger than a stick of butter but still as lightweight as possible.

I do have a pretty nasty ice pick. That's about it though.

Continued review of SC1 Serpent shaft.

Generally - outstanding. Ryan (my son) used it for a camp and for 3 games. I've been told I'm not getting it back.

He stopped using his Brine Supra Ignite and ignored the wonderboy

Here are his reasons/my observations:

1. Light!!!!! I note that it balances well with Gait Torque head.

2. Strong - no dents/chips/bends after a few counselors (including T.Tarr) took some checks at it. Rigid

3. His teammates liked it - thought it was "cool"

4. Wonderboy dented when his sister would check it.

5. Ignite clear covering chipped during league play.

Serpent is doing custom shafts for various USLIA-MDIA teams. UMD will be sporting them this season. YOu do need to order a minimum #, but the prices of these shafts are low - your teams may want to look into it. We've already ordered them. They should look unique.

A Ti d-poll is coming from Serpent. After speaking with the owner, I am VERY excited about this new Ti pole. I think they understand why other poles fail. I still use the over 8 year old Ti poles because the current ones from ALL manufacturers are too flimsey or too heavy. I have a gut feeling it will be special...
