I anticipate lines for Vail to be...

Hurley, Dooley, Libra
Wigdahl, Wesenberg, Greisinger (we might play with the lines occasionally and have Libra and Dooley run some offensive midfield.

Costello, Ficken, Johnson, Cathcart (depending on the situation they will rotate with each other)

Larson, Herring, Sanders-Lyle and Libra/Dooley (again depending on the situation the personell will change).

Dooley, Johnson (lsm) with Thomas taking some shifts

Michalski, Whites, Alden (with Dooley and Thomas subbing in as needed).

McPheeters adn Ankeny at Goalie splitting halves or games (for some odd reason lax goalies prefer halves).

Man up we'll run a 3-3...

Libra (r) Wigdahl (crease) Hurley (L)

Ficken (r) Costello (r) Dooley (L)

Man Down we'll rag and run box/string

Michalski Alden
Cathcart/Herring
Dooley Whites

(Johnson will sub for pole if penalty on lp)

I anticipate fo's to be split between Stello/Johnson and maybe Ficken

I'll use Dooley/Libra and Wigdahl to help clear the ball as a 4th midfielder( pull a pole off when we can).

This is the Elite team.

This tournament is a U-19 non recruiting tournament so it's more alumni. Last years core players begged and pleaded for us to do this tourney. I filled it with invitations to last years participants, then looked at seniors who weren't on the Elite team that were good players (Ficken, Gilseth) and invited them.

I filled the positions as needed by invitation starting with the better players from this years travel team. No try-outs, I knew what i was looking for. Have several sophomores/juniors who are here for pure developmental purposes.

vaillacrosse.com is reporting Colorado 23, Mn Elite 8. Apparently there is some kind of mercy rule that went into effect, though there really isn't a recap or anything.

They've got some good Dave Adams pictures on the website for anyone interested.

if that team is half as good as they were last year, that would explain such a lopsided score....that Colorado team last year was filthy, and they had some SIZE...i believe one attackman was 6'6 (at least) was fast as a deer and could flat out play....

Keep up the goodwork Elite!!!

I talked to Wesenberg and Ficken last night, 23-8 is right. I hear that all of Colorado's starters were going D-1, except MAYBE 1. Also, I was told the Elite team played everyone and that Colorado did not and they scored like 7 goals in the last 3 minutes of the game to rub it in???

Good job on advancing though, Ohio must have been a good team.
