I have a bathroom desktop calendar where I would tear away each day's trivia question with the answer on the back. Today's question was about who was that person holding the flag behind George Washington in that famous Crossing the Delaware picture. It turned out to be Lt. James Monroe.
If you look at the picture carefully, look at the oarsman on the other side near the oarsman in front of the boat, and someone said that it would have been a black man named Prince Whipple. Below are several sites that explain this picture:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Washington_Crossing_the_Delaware
You will find it interesting that this painting was done in Dusseldorf, Germany in 1851.
I will do some more research on reading another question about who was the famous person who accidentally set the forest on fire (300 acres) when cooking a fish. That would be one of the "Did you know that...?" questions.
Did you know that...?

You have a desk in your bathroom? It makes sense since I do more reading in there, but come on.
If I were to do anything, it would be this.

I found two sources that sort of explains how Henry David Thoreau and his friend accidentally set a fire in the Walden Woods (we know it as Walden Pond). The first link is a timeline of his life, so you will need to scroll until you see the year 1844 to find out what he did. For the second link, it is a long read, so just scroll down until you see two headlines, "Fires in Walden Woods" and "Thoreau and the Walden Woods" It may be allegation or tradition that he and his friend accidentally set a fire while cooking fish, and the fire destroyed 300 acres. According to the first link, he was in disgrace and some townsmen would never forget that.

In the second link, you will find it interesting that Thoreau did admit to accidentally start the fire; however, he stated that the land became beautiful again.

I'm not even going to ask what you do with the pages you tear off everyday! LOL

For the record, the desktop bathroom calendar (for the lack of better word) is on the sink counter. It is done by walking toward to that "tear-off" calendar, reading the question and trying to answer the question, and then looking at the back of the page to find the answer. Next day, I just throw it away in the trash.
Did quick research and found out that the best way to explain what I was trying to say is a desktop tear-off calendar. An example looks like this below:
That is what I have at home.
I am not taking myself too seriously by trying to define what I meant, but I guess the word, "bathroom" is probably confusing.
