Bad News for Duke

I think the point is that the Duke lacrosse team was made out to be a group of party animals while the rest of the student body were saints. This story would have made the news no matter what school he attended because of his draft status. But JJ didn't just decide to start drinking the other night. Others at Duke drink and party, we all know that, but its not the story when indicting the young men from the lacrosse team.

Many students manage to drink and party without hiring strippers and/or prostitutes to show up while they do it, although I suppose there's no real way anyone could have predicted that that sort of thing could turn out badly.

It's no secret Redick boozed at Duke. How many times over the past two years have you heard a college hoops announcer talk about how trim and fit Redick was after he stopped throwing back barley pop after barley pop.

I read something in either SI or SI On Campus and he noted one of his favorite game other than basketball and playing Halo with Adam Morrison was beer pong.

Not that it's a bad thing.

JJ did state that the lacrosse players were good guys. I guess he knew from being a frequent guests at their parties.

How about the ID checkpoint JJ whipped a U-turn at? WOW, never heard of that. That's a drunk drivers nightmare....

They had DD checkpoints in my hometown. Most cars would just be let through without stopping and checking them, but they really looked for cars that did U-turns, or slowed down suddenly to make a turn around the checkpoint. Then they'd go after you almost certainly. Pretty effective, especially on big party nights.
