Not sure if this law still applies in Colombia, I recalled someone telling me that the law in Colombia forbade motorcyclists from wearing helmets, so I, of course, asked what reason for making the bikers wear without helmets. It was around 1988 when there were so many bombings in Colombia, and most of that occured when some motorcyclists with helmets would quietly throw bombs at banks or other buildings. That way they could identify the motorcyclists without helmets. That was when my wife and I went down there to adopt our daughter.

Any more news on the news development on Ben's broken nose and jaw? Would that change his cadence of shouting plays?

My aunt was an ER nurse in Austin and told me when I was but a whee lad that a helmet would mean the difference between dying from an open head wound or a closed one.
Hyperbole aside, wouldn't someone want to give themself the best chance of survival in the event of an accident? What's that you say? Your're a careful rider and obey all traffic laws...well, what about that blonde on her cell phone or that guy in the suit that just dropped his coffee on his lap?
Another little gem I've picked up along the way: There are only two kinds of riders, those that have crashed and those that haven't crashed yet.

As a former resident of the 'burgh (Blawnox to be exact) I can only imagine that WPXI and the rest of the news stations had nothing better to cover (just another piece of tragic news from the SouthSide).
This is strictly for the yinz from Picksbrugh:
The Stillers are a huge deal dahntahn and 'at. I'm sure that yinz and yinzes firends are very upset at this time but rest assured, da Stillers will be back in da super bowl before jano it. Hauscome don't yinz send Ben soem jumbo sammitches and a couple of Primantis back air an dat at da hosiptal.? Fergetit, he does not have any teeth to chew dem wit.
It is just a shame that he might now miss the whole season for being a moron. Fantasy players, adjust your draft boards accordingly. Now, more than ever, I wish I had picked his used gum up off the field prior to the beginning of the Super Bowl. I could have made a fortune, even more that Luis Gonzalez brought in.
I have a couple of players who ride motorcycles and frankly, it scares the hell out of me. The ride with helmets but as my driver-ed teacher from high school so eloquently put it "Physics is a b****!" when discussing motorcycles and accidents.
I know the intersection where this accident occurred very well. He could not have been going that fast when he hit the car. Had he had a helmet on, he might have some of his teeth left and the facial injuries might not have been as bad. Riding without a helmet and claiming to bea safe rider is akin to being a safe gun owner with children in the house that does not use trigger-locks.

Who is that? Oh yeah, I vaguely remember that whiner claiming that the Tennessee defence was out to kill him or something and that we goes to war. That was right after UT embarrassed Miami at home in 2003. Whatever happen to Kellen Winslow Jr.? Did he finally get to prove himself in Iraq or what? Or did he end up in Cleveland, fate probably worse than Iraq.
He is still rehabbing according to his dad last fall. And it is a shame Jr. is like this because his dad is one of the nicest people I have ever worked with.

Got this from Yahoo! Sports listing Roethlisberger's injuries:
http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=ap-roethlisbergerreport&prov=ap&type=lgns
The source is from Mercy Hospital.
Most of you all already know that he went home from the hospital late last night.
