Outdoor club league in NorCal?

Postby CalvinlaX2004 on Wed Jun 07, 2006 9:31 pm

Ive been reading on the WCLL forums about an outdoor league for club/men in SoCal this summer, but havent heard anything similar for NorCal. Anyone know? I know there is an indoor league in Alameda that meets on Tuesday nights, but have not heard anything about outdoor play.

thanks

I haven't been in the bay area for awhile, but every Saturday morning they used to play pickup games at UC Berkeley's field. They still may. You should contact their head coach to see if they still do.

Not sure about Fog City. I heard they stopped it a few years back, but I could be wrong.

I know the kids at Santa Clara will be wanting to play pick-up this summer. I believe Mike Sheridan from Sling-It lax is starting an adult indoor league at the Off-the-Wall soccer in San Jose. I'll try to look into that.

Well its sounds like between players here in the East Bay, Cal and guys down in the Santa Clara/ South Bay area theres a lot of interest to play outdoor, even if its just pick up.

If we could find a high school with some goals, we could organize some informal games in the near future.

whats a good central location for all these different groups? I was thinking maybe Oakland or San Roman?

let me know and i can get on calling some high schools in those areas to see if we can used their fields during the summer
