I'm still a little behind on the times with this RSS stuff. Could someone explain it?

Gregg,
I'm new to the whole RSS thing myself. As I understand it,, RSS is an aggregator of news sources.
You need an RSS reader to "subscribe" to what are called feeds. Then, you can click on your bookmarks tab, or however your RSS reader displays the information, and you see the story titles.
It's essentially a live bookmark, that updates itself as content is added to a webpage. It's a way of quickly checking for updates on a particular web page.
If you want more information, you can do a quick google search. Or you can download Firefox, and use one of the many RSS readers they provide. Just click on extensions on the page below. I also recommend Firefox as an alternative to Internet Explorer, if you've not tried this already.

Hope this helps! Feel free to send me a PM if you need a hand getting it to work, of if there is anything else I can do for you.

Great new feature, thanks for adding this. Watch for RSS to be the future for online news distribution.

Maybe it is just me or just Yahoo, but I subscribed to the USLIA.com RSS feed through MyYahoo, but it never shows new articles. It always says "No new articles in the past 7 days." Any idea?

Actually Gregg I'm getting the same thing too.
The stories are some from last year:
Lindenwood Sweeps Invitational
Fisher Uses Three Goal Run
Lacrosse in Wyoming
Wolverines Roll in #5
etc.
Using Firefox with InfoRSS 0.9.0
Inspecting the uslia.com.rss file it has stories of id 2-47, so the first few ones after the server went back up last year. I didn't know you could have more than 15 items.

Matt,
Can you double check the correct URL for the USLIA.com News RSS feed?
- Code: Select all
http://www.uslia.com/phpnews/uslia.com.rss
I can't get that RSS feed to work and I don't think that is the correct URL.

I can't see a file there.
Should the correct feed be something like:
http://www.uslia.com/phpnews/rss.php
or
http://www.uslia.com/rss.php
???

I realize that GP!
All of the other RSS feed URL's end in something like:
- Code: Select all
rss.php
NOT
- Code: Select all
uslia.com.rss
When you load that feed into your web broswer, you can't physically view the file:
http://www.uslia.com/phpnews/uslia.com.rss
But when you load:
http://forums.uslia.com/rss.php
You can see the file!
