Tim, you may be the only person in history to put "Waterworld" and "awesome" in the same sentence. . .

Give Tim a break. Remember that sentences in Canada are only worth 3/5 of a normal American sentence.

1. Waterworld is so bad its good. Not unlike Battlefield Earth, The "Average Homeboy" rapper, and Sonny's attempts at humour.

2 Our sentences are worth over 9/10 of an American sentence and rising now...

[original thread topic] It was mid to late June last year when the Div B AA's were announced. Don't expect anything soon.

Actually, they were announced on May 26th last year--a week or two after the Div A AAs--so they're a little later than usual.

Why?

This doesn’t sound like an unreasonable question, The Academic All Americans are based on grades not votes so why the delay. As for the B AA this should have been determined a long time ago. Just look back through this thread. This delay put’s the process in question. These young men played hard, worked hard and should be recognized for their achievements both on the field and in the classroom.

Agreed. but you guys have to remember that we are a volunteer organization. Virtually all of the MDIA leadership are coaches as well.

I would email MDIA Awards Chairperson Tony Scazzero off-line if you want an update. I'm sure he is working on it.

I emailed Laxpower about why they have not posted the A division all-American teams. They responded that USLMDIA has never posted an official team (in writing).
So neither A nor B nor academic all-American teams have been officially posted in writing by the MDIA.
It is almost one month since the season ended. Personally, I think this is unacceptable, even for a volunteer organization.

Feel free to make a large 6-figure donation to endow a few full-time MDIA directors. Until we get to that stage - we will have to live with what we have. As someone who did the AA's a few years ago, it was a giant pain in the neck.

Somehow, I don't think a 6 figure donation would make any difference.
Whenever I have a big annoying project due, I sit down and get it over with. This is particulaly true when there are alot of people relying on me to get it done.
The time for excuses has come and gone. It is now a month after the end of the season.

Why has there never been a press release for the A division All-American team? The team was announced on May 13th.

I haven't received the official list yet. Once I get the complete list, I will publish.

Then what was posted in the forum and announced at the championship game? That’s not the official list? As for volunteering the directors deserve praise for their fine work and many hours but so do these athletes’. They the participating in lacrosse for the sport it’s not paying for their education, or even their playing expenses, they don’t receive the perk’s of a “Varsity” sport status. Isn’t the whole end of the year awards intended to recognize the athletes for their achievement’s and hard work?
