as a whole team we are much faster than previous years...what some of us lack in stick handles we make up for in speed. our defense is quick our attackman are quick and we have about two or three solid lines of middies that are willing to run all game....kyle is right....not to many people can stop #11

Dave, I hope you caught the sarcasm in the origional post.... He was catching an error in the schedule showing you already beat WWU.....

And yes, you guys are fast... but you'd probably be fast tomorrow if you were sleeping now, less than 12 hours before your game.... :) I'm telling Bubba!

pretty fast

Postby Da Wrightstuf on Sun Feb 27, 2005 12:13 pm

Yeah the Lutes are pretty fast, but I didn't have any trouble stopping this #11 kid.. he'd be a 3rd string midi on our team. I don't think any Division B guys can run with him though.

Save your breath for the game, Wrightstuff. It never ceases to amaze me that Oregon players hop on this forum and run their mouths with the objective of belittling others + tooting their own horns.

While most of your teammates got the clue that nothing positive comes from talking trash on the forums, and have posted insightful comments this season, somehow you missed the memo.

I just came from the PLU vs. UPS game and that was interesting. It wasn't that fast of a game. I don't know if PLU was off at all but most of there offence was ISO. I even saw them practicing plays but I only seen them execute there play once. I will have to watch them again when they play Linfield to get a better sense of them.

Wrightstuff.... #11 is a second year player... He's had a stick in his hand for less than a year and half.... That would mean a lot to me if he could be a 3rd line middie on a team ranked 8 in the A division. The worst part about #11 for me is his attitude. I want to hate him for being so athletic and good, but he's way too much of a nice guy.... Good Luck to PLU against WWU Friday.

Thanks Kyle, I appreciate the kind words. You guys played well on Sunday and I'm excited for the next game. As for any of the previous opinions that were voiced - that's cool. #40, Oregon is a great team and it would be stupid of me to say otherwise. On great teams there are always great athletes - like #50 (he's a class act to). But, if what you are looking for through your post is to boost your own ego - don't. That's not what we are here for. We're here to play a game, hopefully to win, and to have fun in the process. By the way, I remember #50, but I don't remember you. As far as 3rd line for your team - thanks for the compliment. But, if given the choice, I think I'd choose SFU. Good luck this season.

I have been so impressed this season with the restraint the Oregon team has shown and the class with which they have made posts in this forum this season.

John Wright, I think you missed the memo. You could learn a ton from your teammates- guys like 2004 league MVP Danny Ernst or Jeremy Tesar. They are class acts on AND off of the field.

Taking shots at other players is totally unnecessary and I can't for the life of me understand what you hope to gain from such banter.

How does the saying go. . ."if you can't say something nice. . ."?

You get the point. At least I hope you do.

Wrightstuff you couldnt even make 3rd line on a Div.1 team. Does that matter? no. Just like #11 you hopefully play the game cause you love it. I agree with the other posters that oregon has been a much more respectful team this year unfortunately the actions of one player can cast a negative shadow on the whole team.

From my point of view, Oregon has done a great job in the forums this year, and wrightstuffs comment was jumped on by all of us. If that's the worst comment we see all year, I'm sure we can live with it. As for this thread, or any more posts in it.... I'm not going to be the Moderator Nazi, and not let this continue. He didn't post again, and we've all hammered him for 2 days.... That's more than enough, consider the issue closed, and have a nice day. :D
