High School All-State and All-American predictions...

Postby Gopherlax29 on Tue May 30, 2006 6:44 pm

I think it will/should look like this (sort of);
NO ORDER if more then 3 (unless marked) I know I have more people listed, but it is tough to choose exactly it, especially at Midi.

A:
Hurley - AHA
Dooley - Blake
Chapman - Osseo
Holm - Blake
Kalmoe - Osseo
Wesenberg - JHS
Hockert - TG
Benney - Osseo
Blue - Montiquois
Libera - AHA

LSM:
Kyrillus (I cannot even spell it and I coach him...) - Osseo
Jadin - Blake (Close second)

FOGO:
Johnson - Blake
Kyrillus - Osseo

M: (deep this year I think)
Catchart - Blake
Seivold - Blake
Johnson - Blake
Baxter - EP
Ficken - Osseo
Gilseth - Osseo
Tlachac - Osseo
Pitzl - TG
Blue - Montiquois
Page - Eagan ( listed as A but plays both I think? )
Bailey - Mounds View
Costello - STA

D:
Dooley - Blake
D for Breck (can't think of his name)

And I am drawing a blank on D-men, so I will name no more. I know Blake has 3 solid D, EP has a solid 1on1 man, as well as Jefferson and many other schools.

G:
Moundsview's goalie
Flemming - Osseo

It will be tough for the people choosing. AGAIN, I GUARNTEE I AM MISSING NAMES, PROBABLY EVEN GUYS ON MY OWN TEAM! HOWEVER, I JUST WANTED TO GET THIS STARTED...

I seem to remember that you get 6 or 7 AA's in MN?
Dooley, Dooley, Kyrillus, Catchart, Johson, Hurley And I won't name a 7th because about 6 guys could have it from goalie to midi...Add on to this list.

haha, well I know them the best. We are 10-1. I said, I probably forogt a lot of players! Also, I was jsut getting a list, not THE LIST. I was getting names out there, where are your lists. For example, I know Edina and A. Valley as well as TG and BSM have many names that should be included in a list like this, but I don't know there names or we have yet to play them this year.

Lets add 27 from Wayzata (Fong I believe), he is really fast and any shot he hit the net with went in. Also, Wayzata's goalie was the best I have seen us play against this year.

Fong is decent...not that good for all state though...wayzata's goalie was ok....we shelled him pretty well, HM at best...

You should look at the 8 teams now...thats how the all state should be decided...

In 2 games, the Wayxata goalie played well. It happened to be the 2 that counted most, thats why I suggested him as a potential HM. Fong was good when he hit the net, the "when" is key there. Horn, give us insight on your top dogs over there so I don't have to waste my time at mbsla.org looking up stats. Again, like I said, it was just a list of candidates POTENTIALLY.

PS I think they are deciding tonight.

i like it better when there was only one AA, 6 or 7 seems like a luxury, i think even Jake Launert was AA back in 04, hes a hell of a cook though as long as odey is attached at his hip...

I liked the 1 AA a lot better too. I am pretty sure there are 9 this year, that could be counting academic AA though...?

Here are the actual Minnesota AA's along with what I understand to be their matriculating colleges, or coming year in HS>

Ryan Hurley AHA Attack (Cornell)
Derek Michalski AHA Defense (Butler)
Dan Pitzl T/G Midfield (Univ. of Minnesota-Duluth)
Tony Libera AHA Attack (University of Maryland)
Charlie Nesser T/G Defense (Univ of Minnesota-Duluth)
Kip Dooley Blake Attack (Rising Junior)
Brian Kyrilis Osseo LSM (Rising Senior)
Bryant Johnson Blake FaceOff (RPI)
Joe Costello STA Midfield (Rising Senior)

How did people's predictions fare?

Interesting - the Laxpower.com list doesn't have Costello listed as an AA - anyone have any explanation?
