Da Vinci Code

I see about 3 movies in the theatre each year, but I will definitely see Da Vinci Code. I really want to see if Ron Howard can make the movie live up to the hype. As a side note, I was a way bigger fan of Angels & Demons and Digital Fortress than I was of the Da Vinci Code.

Actually I'm with you all on the Angles & Demons being a better read. As for the History Channel, of course I watch it because I'm male and it's preprogrammed in our DNA to watch. I did like the history of the Knights Templar and the Freemasons.

Those shows came on right after the Jehova Witness at work declared them evil groups and got off on his conspiracy rant. Of course I countered that he was going door to door and collecting information that he promptly sent to NY where it was forwarded to the CIA and Dick Cheney.

Other than a few off ramps, I thought they followed the book pretty closely. Still couldn't have the same charm of the first time reading the book though. And the people sitting next to me constantly saying "what?, huh?" got annoying. But all in all I think they did as good as a job as they could.

Great book.......to think that if it wasn't for Salt and Cod the Western World would have been settled many generations later, brilliant deduction!

I haven't seen the movie yet, but I'm looking forward to it. It seems to me that there would be enough copies already out there that the Da Vinci Code would fall off the top sellers list. Shouldn't there be one degree of separation from a copy for all American citizens?
