we'll take usd... a very well coached team, but we've got the fire power and defense on them... proved that today. just need to work on ground balls, clears, and a more structured offense (though i refuse to play stall-ball like those fellas). the fact of the matter is we need a tougher schedule to be competive in close games. looking at you oregon and SFU. we'll drive, you just say yes and bring your pads. oregon, you better play us. you were the 7 seed, we lost to the team that beat your 5 seed by two... a lot of numbers there but when you look at it you owe us a game. we're in the same league after all, eh boys? don't want to be called chicken, do you?

PPS...getting called chicken by a woman like Freihofer doesn't mean too much. Congrats on your season Ducks.

Congrats to Montana
A personal congratulations to Montana. The manner in which they have carried themselves at this tournament has been one of the "buzzes" of this meeting. Their conduct off the field has been exemplary and positive. Their on field achievements have been fabulous. The talk among many of the teams was that this was a 2 team tourny with Clairmont and USD. Obviously Montana has now entered the elite status in their division.

For the record..
I meant no slight to the Ducks, I am sure Joe is already scheduling an OOC schedule that will continue that program on its path to a national championship.
Thanks for representing us Oregon and have a safe trip home.

Montana, wow, way to make the PNCLL proud! So happy to read the things I am about the team, you guys deserve it after playing great this season. Keep up the amazing work, I have to admit I even had to double check the USD score, clearly you guys are up there with the elite. I know you guys wanted the win of course, but I think this will keep you guys building towards bigger things, great season guys.

Wasn't UVSC the #2 seed? Didn't the Ducks beat them 15-0 in Utah? Did the Ducks not beat the 5 seed in the A div.? Do the Ducks really owe Montana a game?? Would it be a game? Should the Ducks be called chicken when they don't schedule a game that brings down their SOC?
Freihofer, don't get scraped! Stay home son, please. You would be playing the Oregon bench by the 3rd quarter anyways.
PS. The whole UofO team has a lot of respect for the Grizz and thinks they are a great group of guys.

for the record, freihofer knows oregon would work the present griz team. he happened to be a little "out of sorts" at the time of the last post (after celebrating a hard fought loss). that said, we'd really like to play oregon, as playing "up" would greatly help our chances against tougher opponents, a favor we'd like to ask of our A division pncll brethren. it'll be a closer game than many of their A division contests.

sorry but your preceding statement kinda contradicts what you said there. Playing Montana in no way would look "bad" on Oregon, in fact it might generate some buzz as a clash between division winners. Plus I would be weary playing your bench, as it has gotten you into trouble recently has it not? I'm not here to start something but I find your comments a little aggressive. He was obviously happy because of his teams play and Oregon seemed like an obvious choice to furthur their development.

Will everyone just relax and not take these posts so seriously? Will Freihofer did some typing while impaired, and Julian just wanted to throw a couple of fun jabs back at him.
It's just boys being boys and having a little fun.. .no disrespect detected. I know the Ducks and Grizzlies were rooting for each other all week and those two teams continue to show the rest of the country that there is some darn good lacrosse being played in the Northwest.
I wish I could have been there to support all of you. I had my little sisters wedding to attend. . .but I will definitely be there next season to support our troops as the PNCLL continues grow and play great lacrosse. Hopefully next season we can get 3 or 4 teams into the big dance.
See you all in September. . .

Of course Montana could simply petition to move up to the A Division with all the other big public universities and play against Oregon every year as a required conference game.

Although I would like to see the game between Oregon and Montana, I still don't know if it would be a game. The only way to find out though, is for Montana to drive (or hitchhike) to the slums of Eugene for a game of lacrosse. After that game, Montana and Oregon will know where they stand in the B division.
Food for thought:
Although booze might help you write "sweet" posts on the PNCLL forum, rarely does it help you beat the Ducks. Just my interpretation.........

The Ducks and Griz were definitely supporting each other all week at the tourney and have had a blast representing the PNCLL the past two seasons...this is a joke, but it would be a decent game (certainly not 14-0). In any event, we're planning on staying down in the B (as long as the other top teams stay down too) because the league fits us better, although I'd like to play a few more A teams during the season. There is still a lot of good competition for us in the B league (WWU & PLU could have finished in the top ten if they were in Plano)..but I do think it's interesting that the same people that thought we should move down two seasons ago are now advocating for us to move up...this league cracks me up sometimes.
Also, big thanks to Kyle for his work in Plano...way to represent.
