The 2013 tournament returns to Greenville, SC this May.

Good News/Bad News on Radio Broadcasts

Postby Sonny on Mon May 15, 2006 11:24 am

Looks like we had almost 400 people listening to the online radio broadcast of the Div. A Championship between CSU and Colorado on Saturday night. (393 to be precise.) Not bad at all for a first time endeavor. Hopefully, next year we will be in a stadium type environment for the Semifinals and can expand our coverage to those games.

However, it unfortunately looks like we won't be able to archive the two radio broadcasts for future playback or download. I was looking forward to hearing the broadcasts as much as many of you, but it doesn't appear that that will happen. :(

Well, it sounded great. That's too bad about archiving it, I have a program that would have saved the live feed as it played, but I didn't even think of it. Maybe next year!

I wish I would have asked someone else (online) to save a copy of the streaming broadcast(s). I didn't do it locally on my laptop, because I was worried that the file size would get too big and fill-up my hard drive.

Needle in a haystack question - Would there be a chance to find the audio from the radio broadcasts archived out on the internet somewhere by one of the web crawlers or something like Archive.org?

Contact the National Security Agency - I'm sure they've got it on tape!
In lieu of that, it is kind of awesome to think of the broadcast spreading out through the universe like the ripples on a pond - in a few days you can pick it up on Pluto...

BUMP.

Let me know ASAP if you happened to record either broadcast to your local hard drive. Thanks.
