PNCLL B Division All-Conference Team and Awards

Postby Dr. Jason Stockton on Mon May 08, 2006 11:48 am

Like Kyle stated in some threads earlier in the season. . .the 1st team B division squad gets the first invites. . .but I know already of a few guys on the first team that won't be able to make it. . .so there will be several guys on the 2nd team and HMs getting the call as well. . .

And the first team is only 12 guys. . .we'll want about 16 on our roster for the tournament so that Kyle and I are never talked into suiting up.

We also want to try to invite 2 guys at least from faraway places like Ashland and Caldwell. . .so guys have someone to travel with all the way to Victoria.

When we put together our list of 16 guys we will send out an invite. . .and then depending on the number of acceptances we will try to fill any holes with other guys.

The nice thing is that our league gets better and better, and so there is plenty of depth to pull from. I'm really looking forward to the event. It will be fun to coach such a talented bunch. . .

Butterwegge only getting Honorable Mention after what he did with that team? Numbers aren't everything people, I understand, but he was a star for a team that looked like they had none.

I am sorry but what exactly did he do?

When is the tourney in Victoria? I'm from there so I wouldn't mind going over to the island to watch some of the games.

butterwedge started playing lax when he got to college and became stoked on the sport.

from what i understand, western oregon lacrosse would be nowhere without his commitment.

Mike, from what I understand, it will be a little bit later this year than in past years. I believe it is either the weekend of Aug 18-20, or Aug 25-27.

Chad, Matt, there are atleast a few tournaments this Summer. Worst case scenario, there are about 4 teams in the area that may need extra players.... as if the PLU team didn't have 40+ guys to make their own summer team. I'm sure you could even get your coach Bryan on the field no problem. I doubt Bubba, but Bryan would be your leading scorer!

I am talking about on the field. The WOU offense was praised highly for scoring less than less than 7 goals four times, all against playoff teams.

Alright guys, this thread has been dead for a while, I'm going to lock it now. I'm going to get the last word in first though,

I'm joking, I won't get the last word in.... I'll be working the Arizona vs Oregon game tomorrow, and I'll try to write something up for you guys tomorrow.
