Major League Lacrosse, the Boston-based outdoor lacrosse league, will host its championship and semifinal games in Boston again in 2005, league officials said Wednesday.

New Balance Athletic Shoe Inc. has signed on as the main sponsor for the event, which is scheduled to take place at Boston University's Nickerson Field Aug. 19 and Aug. 21.

For the second year in a row, the six-team professional outdoor lacrosse league has drawn a national television contract with ESPN2, which will air the league final on tape delay Aug. 21.

I was out there this past summer at Nickerson field, it was a good time, and cool to see all the new stuff vendors were coming out with.

Like I said, season tickets are on sale now! Major perk of being a season ticket holder: seatback seats! May not sound like a lot, but they're a lot more comfortable than sitting on those hard benches. Season ticket package is only $105.

Individual game tickets will go on sale soon, just as soon as I can get my office in order.

For more information, or to order tickets, contact me at 617-746-9933.

The semi-final games will be held at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Friday, August 19.
