Duke Lacrosse Player Speaks Out

(05/02/06 -- DURHAM) - A Duke lacrosse players is breaking his silence exclusively with ABC11 Eyewitness News.

It is the first on-camera interview with a Duke lacrosse player since the story of the alleged rape broke. The player, who did not want his identity revealed, said there was no rape at the March 13 party and is defending the coach and the team.

I know that Nancy Grace is now on the lacrosse world's bad list. One night I was watching her show which was captioned. I was both amused and turned off by the line of her questions to different guests. That was about 3 weeks ago.

Although I do have to give credit to Sean Hannity with the woman from the Westboro Bapist Church.. actually I think that derserves it's own thread.

I would like to see the one black player on the team come out and say that the rape didn't happen. They said he couldn't have been at the "rape" but he probably was at the party.

Also every time i watch tv i see people talking against the evidence and in order to make it fit they keep changing the strippers story. Things like "they could have been on the cell while raping her", "It could have only lasted a few mins but it felt like 30" "there was no dna because the could have been wearing long sleaves"

At this point im waiting for her story to change just like the other strippers story changed.

Cricketman, Where did you come across that email? Is it reputable?

A friend forwarded it. I can't verify it's authenticity but it has a ring of truth to me which is why I posted it. It does seem to me that there are far too many instances of really obnoxious behaviour throughout many elite college sports (very little in the club teams from what I can tell). I find the rape accusations hard to believe from what I've seen, but if it is a case of false accusation it appears the lacrosse team may have made themselves bigger targets unneccesarily through their oafish behavior.
