Did you know that Red Bull is actually Lewicki's urine?

Enough already...
I'm just an ordinary guy who plays lacrosse. Just like many of you, I suspect.

I did like the reference to the mechanical bull, though.

Lax_Stats, thanks for the kind words.

As Dan did, I wanted to send out some enourmous thanks to the fellas of Boise State that made the trip to Oregon to be a part of the conference tournament.

That kind of gesture had been fading from the PNCLL in the past few years with teams not bothering to show up, and some other "not-so-classy" things- so much so that everyone was suprised when they were there to receive their much desearved awards. I thought to myself "thats kinda sad that people are suprised they are here." They are part of the league and they should be there! Budgets exist I know, but I don't believe an effort is even considerred by most.

The Conference Tournament is an awesome event, not only because it is competition between the best teams, but because it gives players a chance to hang out with and have some fun with players from other teams. No matter how much teams want to beat each other and have their own "team pride" at game time, in the end, all players in this league are very alike and without the difference in school choice would probably be pretty cose friends. The tournement gives everyone a chance to hang out, and make friends that begin to mean something a few years in the future.

Again, what a fantastic move by Boise. I hope many more players take part in the event in the future and take advantage of the opportunity to meat other guys and have some hard-earned fun.

The Huskies tried our best to get there, but we just couldn't justify the costs. I mean, meating other men wasn't at the top of our priorities list.

wow. Thats a great comment.

There's absolutely nothing against those who didn't make it (whether they are a popular ladies man like UW's president must be or not), everyone has budgets. I just think it was a great move for those who did make it.

Did people find out they would be getting their awards before hand? Nobody called us to let us know who would be receiving one. Had Cody, Suey, and myself known for sure that we were getting something we would have come, but I think we were afraid of looking a little silly by showing up and not getting anything. Sueyhira for instance...great pick but a surprise pick...he would have no way of knowing.

Anyways, maybe somebody lost our phone numbers...but we had no idea who was getting an award.

Blake, bring that up at the meeting. I personally like the awards being announced at the banquet, its a surprise to many, but it's what we want as a conference. Other's may feels the same way as you do.

If we did do it that way, we may be able to shorten the presentation process because we'll know who is in attendance.

Blake, you make a good suggestion. . .I think in future years we may let each coach know. .. and then he can pass that information along to his players. . .maybe letting them know they are going to be honored, but not exactly what the honor will be.

Boise State brought their top guys to the banquet not knowing who would be honored. . .but as it turned out every guy who made the trip ended up on the all-league roster.

We will talk about this issue at the AGM. . .if enough people like you would have attended had they known they were to be honored. . .then I think in the future we should contact the coaches of all of the non-playoff teams and have them invite their players on the all-league team.

Good ideas. . .I always want to try to make this league better. . .so keep the ideas coming. . .
