Holy crap!

Congratulations to Ethan and Gilner for getting their teams to the finals. Good luck to both teams. I'm looking forward to seeing the final score on this one.

I heard lindenwood had a 1st quarter of a lifetime, with a score of 7-0 after the 1st. From there I heard Mizzou defense couldn't slow down the LU possesions, and MU attack threw the ball away a good amount. Also I think MU had a hard time transitioning and with face-offs.

augustana v. harding

Postby culax on Sun Apr 30, 2006 12:54 am

i don't where to begin. i am stunned.

augustana played one heck of a game. it was cold, raining and harding jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead. at the end of the first quarter it was 5-0 harding and it really looked like things were going to get ugly. augustana went on a 3 goal run to make it 5-3 before harding took a 7-5 lead into the half. when harding went up 10-6 in the third, i thought it was over. but, you have to give augustana credit because they never quit. they fought back one goal at a time and ended up scoring the last 5 goals of the game. it was an impressive and determined effort.

harding played a great game, but augustana found a way to put their shots in the cage in the 3rd and 4th quarter. it was an awesome game, an instant classic. the few fans that braved the weather (to be honest, i stayed in the press box for most of the game) were treated to a great performance by two great teams.

Congratulations to Illinois, Lindenwood, Augustana, and Creighton for making it to the finals. It looks like the conditions will be rainy again but I'm sure no matter who comes out on top in both divisions, you will represent our conference excellently!

Thanks to everyone for a great season.......and for me personally, for a great past 4 years! I'll miss everyone in this league that is working to help the game of lacrosse grow!

Lindenwood wins the GRLC Div A 9-6 over Illini.

That makes 3 conference titles in 4 years for the Lions.

This makes me smile :D

I'm not sure how the B Nationals work but does this mean that the GRLC should have 2 representatives, Augustana and Harding.....or is B just the AQs that go?

I think Harding is battling a couple other teams for the 3 at-large bids. All depends on how the final poll shakes out.

I just wanted to congratulate Augustana for a great season and some big victories in playoffs. You came out against us and didn't give up like most teams would down 5-0 to start the game and you surprised us. It was an exciting game that you should be proud of. You guys just wanted it more. Tons of heart.

Good Luck at Nationals; hope to see you there.

Expect a better showing from Harding at Nationals than from Playoffs. Our D-Poles are stoked and ready to play...so are our attackman. You can expect a good showing from them as well as the entire Harding Squad
