Liberty to play Lynchburg College

It's for all three levels, and it is for the calendar year. Fall play dates count against the limit.

I may be wrong, but I don't see any SELC teams playing Limestone JV this year. That was a few years ago. (Maybe Limestone had an open date or two back then on their schedule?)

Limstone's JV contacted us on numerous occasions to play (I believe they contacted Winthrop as well). Gaffney is only about 45 mins from Charlotte. I never saw the need since all they wanted to do was play a team they could spank by 30.

According to Laxpower, FSU beat them 14-7 last year. We played them in fall ball the year before and beat them by a similar score. You should give yourselves more credit - I think it would be a much better game than Limestone by 30, and maybe something to look into in the future.

I got an E-mail from Steve at Lynchburg College today and we will plan to do this game in the 2005-2006 season. There are issues with facilities at both Schools during the next couple of weeks as we now do not have Williams Stadium for the next 3 weeks due to Spring Football and both Teams have injuries. Both Coaches are commited to doing a game either in the Fall or Spring or both as a tool for developing both programs.

That has to be an all-time record, 48 replies and 1300+ views of a message thread for a game that might take place next season.

Well Sonny, I think it is all positive. There is a lot of interest when an SELC Team plays a Varsity Team wheather it is their 2nd String Players or their first line. These are exciting times for Lacrosse in the Southeast and that is what sparks all the interest.

Will,

I appreciate the kind words, but it wouldn't have been close. The year they wanted to play us, we lost to Emory by abou 16 goals, and that was the same year Emory placed last A. UNCC almost played Queens and Mars Hill last year, and I think those games would have been much more competitve than a game against the Limestone JV team.
