It's called the cake-bakin classic, and yes t-shirts are available.
I believe Jroth is one of the guys who helps to set it up so he will be there for sure. We might get a run for our money this year, the highschool team is doin pretty good, and Goerne won't be there plus I heard Tom Morgan (went to Boston College) had a knee injury...

I honestly hope you are kidding me with this. Freeman is a much better athlete and player then madden. Freeman does get more penalties but ask any attackman in the UMLL who they would rather face?? Just look at this weekends Championship Game. Although UST played better- Madden was getting consistenly burned by SJU's 3rd, 4th and 5th attackmen. It was the great slides by the tommy middies and the tremendous ability for SJU attack to hit the post that there was a 5 goal deficit when the final whistle blew. i know there has never been a perfect "all-star team" , I just wish people would use their head a little more.
Madden was a 2nd teamer without a doubt.

Ive never understood the great debate over people getting upset over these selections...in seeing both players this year, I would say they are pretty equal, with each player having their own strenghts....I think Freeman and Madden each have their assets to their teams and each deserve a good pat on the back...Nice job to you both, and all the other all confrence selections!

yah, look around the league. From what i can see there is some anger in every confrence this year over the selections (see pncll div b, there are basically death threats). They are both pretty equal, madden probably just scored a more few points cause he is older and his team had a better showing at the Confrence Tourney. Freemans got 3 solid years left at SJU- i am assiuming he will crack the top before then!!

FlyingDutchmen should also consider that the selections were first voted on by each team individually then sent to the league exec to be sorted. It's not like these selections are handpicked by a few people. Each team from the entire league voted (with the exception of a few due to administration) so it's very tough to knock the picks. Most of the first-teamers were probably influential players in each game they played so they caught the attention of each opposing team.

i might be speaking from a bit of a bias view having played next to the kid for three years, but Madden has been an established force on defense in this league since he arrived. i see him as an obvious first teamer. Saying that, the fact that your boy is only a freshman, the young cats sometimes get looked over for the vets who have put in work for a few years. either way, both players are very good.

I posted this in another thread, but it applies here as well:
A few points that people are missing in this discussion:
(1) There is no "best" player at any position, at least not in any objective sense, since "best" means different things to different people. In other words, different people place different values on different things. Thus, no amount of tinkering with the system, getting people to see more games, etc., will ever end the annual controversy.
(2) Even if there were some objective "best" player at a position, people would be voting on the selection. There's a famous theorem in economics called Arrow's Impossibilty Theorem (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arrow's_impossibility_theorem) that states that if there are at least 3 choices, no voting system can accurately reflect group preference in all situations. Thus, no matter what voting system you use, there will be situations where it fails.
In other words, the problem isn't with the nominating, or the voting system, or teams not getting nominations in on time. The problem is holding the belief that any such system could ever produce anything but controversy.
