WCLL Week 5 (2/23 - 2/28): Schedule, Thoughts, & Scores
BYU VS. ARIZONA
I think this will be the most exciting match-up of the weekend... Who do people like in this one?

I will disagree, and go with BYU. Yes, they lost some key players from last year's squad (#6, in my opinion the best attackmen in the country); however, I think Zona will have trouble boucing back from the SSU loss. I am more interested to see how NY Tech plays against two esteemed Club programs. I wish Zona and BYU luck against the D2 power.

Congrats to AZ for the huge win. I'd be very interested to hear more about this game. It looks like it might have been a better defensive effort from the Laxcats, as BYU usually has a lot of offensive firepower. Salemi could have been the difference between this win against BYU and the loss to Sonoma less than a week ago. I didn't see this game, obviously, but I do know that Salemi was the difference in the AZ win over Sonoma in the WCLL playoffs last year.

Congrats to AZ.
Now to the question...Is Sonoma that much better than everyone thinks, or did the LaxCats just lay an egg without their goalie?
Knowing what little I know about the current team, I think that holding BYU to 9 goals is a very solid defensive effort.

What are some score predictions for BYU v. Zona on Wednesday?
I am going to say Zona by two.

I'm not necessarily surprised with this outcome (okay, a little bit) but I think the thing to take note of here is the score. I figured both teams for a few more goals, but have no idea about field conditions, etc. Perhaps Salemi was the difference, but I think it was more of a wake-up call for Sonoma to come to town and walk away with a four goal win. This puts voters in a tough spot, especially with the poll as far away as it possibly can be. Luckily, both teams will have a few more shots to impress, but this is a big win for Arizona. It was only supposed to be the middle of the pack that was hard to guage, now parity is creeping up to the top, too?
Always on point . . .

The lax, you may have predicted this win, but how do you reconcile this against your previous statements:

Seems like you're talking out both sides of your hat.

It is a huge debate in college football and basketball. What are everyone's thoughts for USLIA lax?
my choices
1. RMLC
2. SELC
3. WCLL
4. Texas

Okay Cat man, take away the AQs and who makes the tournament. What conference has the most national championships?
Debate over
RMLC #1 conference in the country
Now who is #2 maybe WCLL, maybe CCLA
Seems like you're talking out both sides of your hat.

Oh you are good. Tip of the hat to you sir. I just think that RMLC has 3 top teams while WCLL might only have 1 or 2. I realize that Cal Poly is 11th and Colorado is 10th but to me Colorado is an elite team were as Cal Poly just has ugly uniforms. So there. Attack #259002935 against the lax defended.

OK, so the WCLL might have 1 or 2 good teams. Care to identify them?

This was BYUs first game and it was zonas fourth game. Not to take anything away from the laxcats but BYU might have had some beggining season gitters. Never the less it would seem that Arizona has entered the top tier of MDIA teams and should be considered a threat to go all the way this year in the tourney. They have had a lot of tough teams lately and seem to have the depth to be able to ahng with the best. Congrats on a great win Laxcats.
